Omg!!! I wished I lived closer. Everything about this restaurant is a five star rating. Don’t let the outside fool you. Lovely inside decor even the menus are special. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Easy to park. Chips and salsa come with your meal.
We visited La Cocina on a Friday evening in August 2026. Our server, Andres, was so attentive and upbeat, and always smiling! Great service, sir! Our food was delicious. We shared a tasty ceviche appetizer and chips and salsa. The Picantes Shrimp has a spicy habanero sauce. The Shrimp Taco Salad was a large portion and comes in a crunchy taco bowl. I also enjoyed a fruity sangria. Yum! There is a cool outdoor patio area. The decor is inspired by Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Lots of bright colors in a fun atmosphere with music playing low in the background-good vibes!
We had an amazing experience at La Cocina Mexicana! The food was authentic, fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Andrés was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. His excellent service made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend asking for Andrés!
I am so incredibly impressed with this place. Honestly, hanging out here felt exactly like visiting my favorite Mexican spots back in Southern California. The vibe is just so fun. They have this amazing art honoring Frida Kahlo everywhere, and they even included her birthplace on one of the murals, which was such a cool touch. Now, let’s talk about the food because it was next-level. I had the lentil soup and the chiles rellenos, and both were just super, extra delicious. You can taste how authentic everything is.But what really blew me away was the service. Massive shout-out to Andres! The restaurant got absolutely slammed, and instead of freezing up, he just jumped right in to help everyone out. His amazing service and hustle completely saved the night when it got super busy.Great food, awesome art, and rockstar staff. I’ll definitely be back!
I'm sad to have to revise this review. My family and I went here for a second time on Sunday 5/17. I have been violently ill since Monday morning 5/18, for four days now I haven't kept anything down. I was the only one who had their ground beef taco. !!!Stay away from their ground beef!!!! We won't be back, unfortunately. And all the reviews and comments about fees for using credit cards and auto gratuity, is such a shame. Wish we had caught that. Especially before overtipping. First visit: So happy we randomly stopped here for lunch on our way back home from a road trip. I Googled restaurants near me and our son wanted Mexican food. It is so cute and colorful with Frida art everywhere. Very authentic feel, and the food was excellent with cute touches like unique dishes and glassware. Menu is a perfect variety; the adults enjoyed carne asada tacos and tostadas, and the kids had tacos and quesadilla. Food is a bit on the bland side and the menu prices are a bit higher than usual for Mexican, but the salsa and guac are fresh and so good, and the queso is on point. Andres was super personable and the service was excellent Next time we'll try the stuffed avocado🥑
