Very wonderful experience at this new, trendy spot. We went on a Tuesday night with reservations and were sat right away. We have tried omakase all around town and wanted to try Kobu's but it's not quite ready yet. Instead, we ordered entirely from the nigiri section to make our own omakase experience and they wow'd us away. The presentation, the freshness, the flavors, the attention to detail were all magnificent. Our server Kenzie, kept the plates moving for us to enjoy piece after piece. Anthony was also very helpful and friendly. Of their nigiri section, we ordered everything except Uni and Wagyu. The sweet shrimp was delectable, the scallops was my favorite and the salmon was melt in your mouth. This would've been 5 stars but upon reviewing photos and receipts, we ordered 13 nigiri selection but only received 12. Although we left full and satisfied, I wouldve wished to enjoy every fish selection I paid for. I would love to come back and try their omakase in the future. Thank you for a wonderful night.
My husband and I came here on their opening night and the food, atmosphere, and service were all phenomenal. I highly recommend the Wagyu fried rice and the Art of Salmon dish (not pictured because we devoured it) as well as their unique specialty cocktails if you partake! KoBu is definitely a wonderful addition to Jacksonville.
The best sushi in Jacksonville. I came with my wife and we had an amazing taste experience. Plus the crew was amazing, treat us really well. I super recommend.
Tucked away in San Marco hides Kobu Omakase and a privilege of a night. The atmosphere provided a sincere quiet vibes for engaging conversations. My server, Kiara, was a joy to have for the evening as well. I recommend the Truffle Wagyu Fired Rice, KOBU and Chirashi Bowl. Best wishes to the new establishment! Check them out.
I loved this place; the fish was very flavorful and the portions were generous. I’ve been to other spots where they serve the raw fish in very thin slices. I don’t recall the name of the drink, but I know it’s like a Japanese-style margarita—very refreshing and well-balanced; I recommend it.
