The facility is great. It is large and the playground is fantastic. However, we felt the Durbin location served more as a babysitting service than a daycare. We rarely received updates for our 2-year-old son throughout the day. In fact, on 2 of the 8 days he was there, the only posts were us signing him in and signing him out. Drop off and pick up seemed to be chaotic and poorly planned. Most times our son would be with 15-20 other children and only one adult supervisor. One time we picked him up, the only teacher there was cuddling in a blanket and all the kids were running around the room playing on their own. Our son can be a messy eater, and each day when we picked him up his shirt was filthy with stains everywhere, despite the fact we provided the facility with back-up clothes every day. He would also come home in a different brand diaper than what we provided to the facility. If you want your child in a safe place while you work, this place is fine. We have higher standards when it comes to learning, organization and cleanliness ... so we decided to find a new daycare for our son.
Kid City USA Durbin is so amazing! . The owner and her family really love what they do. They take the time to meet each child where they are and then they build them up from there. I am forever grateful for Ms.Heather the owner and her amazing employees .From my family to yours, we love you and all you do!!!! This center is very well kept. The cleanliness does not go unnoticed. I have seen learning centers that have not been well kept. But the management team and teachers and staff are doing great job. Thank you so much.
Absolutely love this location. The whole staff from front desk to owner and teachers are amazing! They treat your child like family. They update on the app about your child day. My child went in only speaking a few words. Now my child speaks full sentences and has learned and grown by going to this daycare. I totally recommend bringing your child here. My son attended VPK at Kid City Durbin for the 2024-2025 school year, and I’m forever grateful to Heather, Shay, and Ms. Marjorie for fostering such a safe, loving environment- not just for my child, but for all of the children. This is the only school I can say with complete confidence has earned my full trust. My son was deeply cared for and learned so much during his time here. I only wish we could stay forever. Thank you all for everything. We’ll miss you so much!
Our son has been attending Kid City Durbin for over a year and absolutely LOVES going to “school” every day. We were instantly put at ease when he started in the infant room because Ms. Cathy was an angel with him. We were initially nervous about him moving rooms because he loves her so much, but every teacher he has had has been absolutely amazing. He adores all of his teachers, Miss. Alissa, Miss. B, and Miss. Shay so so much! They have been such a blessing to our sweet boy. We love that everyone is so kind and welcoming. :)
