Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

Negative stars. This place is awful. The chef was drunk and actively drinking in front of and with the customers. Literally put the bottle of saki on the grill in front of us. They advertise sushi and have it on the menu, then tell you after you order it that they haven’t had a sushi chef in months. The entire meal was freezer burned. My mother order steak and the chef literally cut the pieces as if he was dicing an onion. The steak was so thin it could only be cooked for seconds before over cooking it. I have never seen flat scallops that resembled the shape of a frisbee until tonight. My family couldn’t even eat their meals and after thankful help from the waiter, the best we got was a discount instead of taking it off as they did not eat any of it. (Thank you Dylan, you were the only thing pleasant about the experience). Paying was a nightmare. Stood at the counter for 20 minutes after getting the check before someone could finally take my payment. The bill is just a number written in pencil with no explanation of what the breakdown is. I have been to many hibachi restaurants in my lifetime and have never seen a place like this that is somehow still open. Do yourself a favor and never step foot in this place.

Everyone was nice, the server was clearly young and new and he did a good job and tried his best given they were very busy, it didn’t bother me, but I could see it really upsetting some people. Service was very slow and start to finish we were there an hour and a half. It was very cold and we had to wait a long time for the cook to turn on the grill (45+ min) and we were uncomfortably cold the whole time. The food was very good, well seasoned, steak cooked to perfection, chef was nice and also funny and made my daughter feel special on her birthday. The fried cheesecake is an absolute must! Save room for dessert!

They said they would get us in by 7:30 with a reservation. Get there at 7:15 and wait, 7:40 comes around, no seat. They finally sit us after lying and giving us a run around about reservations.We wait no joke an hour without getting a drink order. After waiting we try to speak to lady at the fron and we are ignored and she goes back to typing. After all of this disrespect we finally just leave. Terrible place, if I could leave 0 stars I would. I’d recommend anywhere else on the whole island before coming here, don’t waste your time, enjoy your vacation eating at a place that might give you food before an hour
