Don't let the one-sided negative reviews fool you. Ms. Edwards is an incredibly dedicated and professional counselor. Over the five plus years she has worked with my daughters, she has played a vital role in their personal growth and mental well-being. I deeply appreciate her honesty and her straightforward guidance on right and wrong.
About a year ago, I considered Edwards counseling for my daughter pertaining to the high conflict issues that I’m dealing with another party. If you are thinking about any type of counseling for your child, I would highly recommend that you do not use Edwards for any type of counseling for any of your kids. In order for any therapist to establish any type of relationship with the client, you need to have a family history, You need to address all problems and concerns, followed by plan of care with proper treatment. Edwards was not available to see my daughter on a weekly basis or not even twice a week. My daughter needed more appointments to be able to obtain the proper plan of care which Janet was not able to provide She only see my daughter at least once maybe twice a month if in any crisis Or emergency is needed. She’s not able to be reached do not return phone calls or emails. Strictly only concerned about billing and payment. Not truthful or honest. Every time we went into a section it was like the first time all over again, she made false allegations without having all factual information when Subpoenaed to court. Her appointments run in Like she’s chasing money Unaware of what’s going on with the client And act like she has dementia.
I have been blessed to have Mrs. Edwards as my counselor for a year now. She is truly a God send! Mrs. Edwards sincerely cares about her patients health and well-being and on multiple occasions gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me out of crisis and establish a solid plan to assist me in my ongoing management of my condition. She is trustworthy, sincere and wise. I have never had another care provider that makes me feel so comfortable and loved as I do with Mrs. Edwards. Her office staff (Toni) is wonderful as well. If you are in need of counseling services for yourself or a loved one, I highly recommend Mrs. Edwards.
I fired this Edwards Counseling a year ago owing zero debit! I get a phone call today March 2024 from a collection agency saying that my minor child has been reported delinquent. Never have I received a bill or a phone call. Additionally Edwards was initially fired because I needed paperwork for court. Their very unprofessional receptionist gave me the runaround then Edwards called back and wanted $100 per page but couldn’t tell me how many pages. Then they flat out said they wouldn’t do it. I was almost held in contempt of court, thank God my lawyer validated my quandary after I supplied them with the correspondence with myself and Edwards. Zero stars for this incompetent so called professional.
Janette E. Edwards, LCSW was contacted after working hours and she still took time to listen to the concerns on behalf of my daughter. We wanted a counselor for my daughter who is Annoited, Appointed and a Faith Believer Christian that is no other than Janette E. Edwards, LCSW. My daughter was extremely happy with the visit. If you're looking for someone who care about people and most importantly a Christian please consider her. May God continue to bless you in every area of you life.
