Jacksonville Center For Counseling

I started individual therapy with Jacksonville Center for Counseling a few months ago and it has been an amazingly wonderful experience so far. As someone who has a difficult time opening up, I knew it was tremendously important for me to find the right therapist the first time. I knew myself well enough to know that if I did not have a good experience, it might take me a while to try therapy again. After much research, I decided that Paul Horn with Jacksonville Center for Counseling. I am so grateful for Mr. Horn. I have seen such a difference in myself over the last few months and I am so happy at where I am now. Mr. Horn is compassionate. He listens to understand and challenges you to think differently. He makes you put in the work. You will benefit the most if you are open to the process, to feedback, and if you take what you learn and apply it outside of therapy and do the work. The office is clean and organized, the staff are friendly, and scheduling is a breeze. I highly recommend Paul Horn and Jacksonville Center for Counseling.

I was referred here by a close family friend and had both individual and couple sessions. I was extremely nervous and did not fully know what to expect. The front office staff are kind and very understanding. They helped with scheduling around both my jobs and we're easy to get a hold of and move the appointment or cancel it if needed. After the first session they remembered me and who I went to see. For all of my sessions I saw Sakina McCoy. She is a focused individual that truly has the goal of seeing you less. She is nice but honest, she does not beat around the bush and focuses on the root of the problem. Her sessions are intense but extremely helpful. She uses probing questions and multiple checks of understanding then techniques are given. She gives homework sometimes in-between sessions that are connected to the problem and are not just general exercises. She makes sure that along the way that I am okay and gives me breaks when needed. She genuinely cares about me and gets excited for each of the little wins. I could not recommend her and this center enough.

Paul is great and so is the staff. I’d recommend them for to anyone looking for help.

Jacksonville Center for Counseling is a wonderful place. I've referred so many friends and family and I myself have been going here for 4+ years with wonderful results. The front desk and all the staff are amazing and have been instrumental and helpful in my progress. I personally see Paul Horn who is exceptional. I also have a family member who has made incredible progress with Kim and a friend who absolutely loves Penny. I can't say enough good things about this place. Happy to have found it.
