J. E. Holland Properties, Inc.

It’s been two weeks since J.E Holland sent what they call their “contractor” out to the property to do work at 7 am on a tuesday to tear off the siding of the house with 0 notice to any of the tenants.. We all just wake up to people banging on the side of the house and busting off all siding… Turns out the contractor did the wrong side of the house!! Now we have been sitting in a fully exposed home that faces the ocean with no responses or plans to get it fixed.. The houses all need major repairs and J.E Holland website might look like a nice and professional company, but they are far from it.. They spend more time arguing with tenants and trying to control them rather than running a business that their tenants can feel comfortable in.. I sincerely hope they get it figured out because they are making a lot of peoples lives miserable..

Applicants Beware !!! to much to write here so I will just give you a little bit of the story. On 5/16/25 I applied for the mobile home J.E. Holland Properties were advertising for, I applied with Maria She was very nice no complains there, I explained to her that I was a higher level applicant credit score near 800 NO late payments, NO evictions, NO criminal record, etc. I filled out the application paid the $45 fee I was denied by text, I went to the office & asked why ? Lilian Maria's boss said because of my rental history & lack of proof of income. I said I have over 13 years of perfect rental history & they said why didn't I put it down because you did not have space for it on your application. She said you can write it on the back they didn't say to write it on the back you only had space for 2. I explained that I had a new job that I just got hired on & provided my acceptance letter also I have been working mobile app jobs for 3 years but not much in the last 10 months & I just moved back to Jacksonville & got a job so I could show the ability meet the rent criteria. As I was explaining to Lilian that I had high level background she said everyone says that until we check & find out they lied. I told her I understand & get it but I can prove mine, she was unresponsive. I was told that I would know their answer by Tuesday it was Thursday when I was told DENIED again because I did not meet the rent amount for 3 mos. then I was I was not on the same job for 1 year, then it was I did not provide 2 current pay stubs !!! Lilian said that Maria told her that I said I had been working on my new job for 3 mos. when clearly they knew I had only been back in Jacksonville for 2 weeks as stated on the application & I told them before I applied. Bottom line I feel there is something nefarious going on there, don't know if its something racist or political ? IDK ?? especially since I got approved for a much nicer home in less than 2hrs the same day they denied me again.

I have rented from over 20 years ago. Original Landlord Mr.Holland the Woody the son and then and now Woodward all three generations. Which each one was the best landlord.. My home is an older house but to me it is a MANSION SURVIVING THROUGH THE HURRICANES AND STORMS STILL STANDING.AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. THEN THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HELP TINA WOODY S WIFE NANCY THE FIRST PERSON AT THE FRONT WINDOW AND LILLIAN PLUS ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAS HELP ME. . I WANT YOU TO KNOW I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU. Since I moved here Lillian and the owner have been nothing but gracious to me. When I say the area I've moved too in 2019-current is quiet and neighbors that are protective over each other i love it.. They make sure all my needs are met I'm really happy I chose two rent from them. Give another update before my lease is up.
