Not to be messy, but I stopped by a different spot an hour ago during lunch rush and there was zero foot traffic—which was a red flag—so I left and came straight here instead. As soon as you walk in, the smell alone lets you know it’s the real deal. I ordered the curry shrimp and was asked if I wanted it mild or spicy—obviously, I went for the spicy. The food came out piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ordered a medium portion and it was huge; I can’t even imagine what the large looks like! I’m stuffed and couldn't even finish the whole plate. Since I couldn't resist, I grabbed a slice of the cinnamon pound cake, too. Apparently, all the cakes in the shop are made by the owner, and let me tell you—they are delicious. If you haven't been here yet, check them out, y'all. You won’t regret it!
Average at best. Oxtail lacked flavor and pieces were ridiculous fatty. 4/10. The rice and beans also lacked flavor. Who the hell puts corn in the cabbbage? The jerk chicken was 6/10. Huge portions but we threw majority of it away. Good spot for the local community due to portion Will not return. Attendee wants to be a rapper the whole time. I’m sure this spot used to be great now its not at all.
My wife wanted Jamaican food for lunch so we gave it a try. First the service needs to improve, the young man working up front acted rudely when my wife had a question about our bill. I ordered the fried chicken and it seemed like the oil was old and my rice and beans needed some salt. The owner came and helped with the service.
Monday 03/30/2026 I ordered beef stew and Jamaican pattie around 4:15pm the service was great and patty pretty tasty however this PLATE GOT ME UP MAD 😡 BECAUSE I REMEMBER I SPENT 20 BUCKS AND WENT TO SLEEP HUNGRY THIS STUFF IS DISGUSTING NO NO NO 🙂↔️ .. IM NOT SAYING ALL THE FOOD NASTY 🤢 I ONLY ORDERED BEEF STEW BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SAVE SOME ONE ELSE MONEY DID Y'ALL LEAVE ALLL THE SEASONS AT HOME MEAT WAS CARD BOARD CABBAGE 😔 LORD I KNOW IT WAS MONDAY AND PROBABLY THE END OF THE DAY HOWEVER PLEASE ADD TO YOUR INGREDIENTS LOST CUSTOMER
Best Jamaican Food In the city hands-down Good local Jamaican cuisine Love it when the owner is there she makes the service even better Feels like you’re back at home and welcome. Very welcome. And she always have good vibes♥️
