Island Forest Park is a delightful haven for outdoor enthusiasts! The brand-new basketball court with two hoops adds a sporty touch, while the climbing area, swings, teeter-totter, and merry-go-round provide endless fun for all ages. The rubberized mulch ensures safety, and the covered shelters and benches make it an ideal spot for picnics or simply enjoying the scenery. The fenced-in space, far from the road, provides a secure environment. The lush trees promise shade during the summer, complemented by a spacious field perfect for various activities. The little book library at the entrance is a charming addition, and the built-in grills offer a great opportunity for a barbecue. While restroom facilities are lacking, Island Forest Park's overall ambiance and amenities make it a fantastic destination for a day outdoors!
Nice playground. Equipment is well loved. There aren't any porta potties so go before you come. The public library is a short drive if a bathroom is needed.
It was better than expected.seem a little private though.
Excellent spot for young ones. One suggestion and exception, recycled tires used for aggregate inside play area, needs replaced. Will give all "Jiffy Feet" black on the bottom requiring cleaning. Tracks in cars or elsewhere.
A small neighborhood park with a nice playground for kids. I'd rate it higher if it had at least a porta-potty, but it has no sanitary facilities and it seems I no sooner get there with my grandkids when one of them has to "go". And so we have to go! But it's not far from home so I do get there occasionally and try to make sure the little ones go before we leave, so we can manage to stay a little while.
