Dr Wright is always amazing as a Veteran it's always a good experience using VA Community Care to see him. He's always thorough kind and patient with me . Several years now! Awesome every time.
The optometrist and staff was awesome! Great experience! However, the retail side was a joke. The pricing and the lack of knowledge on how everything is charged through insurance, was very discouraging and misleading. I am glad I had my printouts for my insurance for my coverage. If you don't care what you spend and just go with what they offer this is the place for you. It's a beautiful office, but the customer shouldn't have to pay for it. I was quoted almost $500 for one pair of glasses, with insurance. I know I picked an expensive frame but they tried to maximize every cost available without any explanation, saying that's all the offer. Would not give me any options my insurance covered 100% and tried to charge the maximum allowance on everything. When asked to explain come was told that's all they have. The optometrist service was perfect.I highly recommend! I highly suggest you don't buy glasses from them or contacts. Shop around! That $500 pair of glasses I was quoted, was purchased along with another pair of glasses with the same designer frames with insurance for $320 at a competitor. Take your full insurance printouts with you and make them explain the cost breakdown. They're definitely not used to someone knowing that. Very discouraged, and felt like I was trying to be taking advantage of. Will never go back!
Fantastic office staff! Very helpful and just plain nice. All I can say is from the Dr. and technician to the front desk, I would rate Island Eyecare a 10 out of 10.😊
The service was great and the staff very friendly. Dr. Wright took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything in detail. Great care.
My two boys and I have been coming here for a few years now. We love Dr Wright and his optometric technician who does the pre testing. They take the time to explain and walk you through everything. They are patient with my seven year old. Overall, Dr Wright has a wonderful bedside manner and is quite jovial. He is realistic in what tests are needed based on age and the evaluation of the individual. The office staff is also wonderful and cost conscious too!
