If you visit St. Augustine, you have to try Island Donuts. It’s a little pricey, but the variety and quality of the donuts are great. They always seem busy, and there’s not much seating inside, so it’s probably better to take your donuts to go and enjoy them with coffee back at your place. Parking is limited too, but nothing too crazy. Definitely worth a stop if you have a sweet tooth.
Great customer service and location. Food inedible. Onion bagel was ok. Cream cheese weird and not thick like water down with sour cream 🤔. Egge and cheese Croissant was laughable giant flat hamburger bun type thing. Should be illegal to call this a croissant 🥐. I don't understand how they can make an egg that thin. Also had bits of egg shell in it adding an unwanted e expected crunch when you least expected it. Also got a big beautiful coconut pastry thing. It was so hard on the edges you could cut glass with it. Very busy when I visited so not sure why the pastry was rock hard. Super disappointed by everything we had🥺🥺
The employees were super welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. Cool spot with plenty of great donut options. I had the iced blueberry coffee and I was impressed, tons of flavor. Just a few blocks from the St. Augustine beach.
Love Island Donuts in Saint Augustine Beach! First visit after seeing on Instagram, did not disappoint. Bought a dozen donuts which included key lime, blueberry carmel crumble and strawberry lemonade. Happily devoured by group with huge compliments on each! Everyone thought theirs was best! Cute shop with friendly counter service. Located in stand alone shop on A-1-A in St Augustine
I’ve been coming to Saint Augustine for 31 years now. There are some very good places. There are some really bad… I don’t think about donuts and bagels when I come to the beach but decided to try here. This place is dirty dog dish water. The teen girl at the counter seemed like we were bothering her. We ordered two bagels and an old fashion donut. The old fashion was dry as anything like it was from a few days ago and just recycled till I unluckily picked it. That was the best part of this experience. When we ordered the bagels, we were told that it would be 20 minutes if we wanted it toasted or they could give it to us cold and put some cream cheese on the side. I didn’t believe it would be twenty minutes so I said we would go with toasted and wait. There’s nowhere to stand while you wait. You’re just in everyone’s way until a table opens up… 30 minutes later, we got our bagels and they were barely toasted and cold. These things were so tough, I believe Joey Chestnut eats them to train his jaws for the Nathan’s hot dog challenge… do yourself a favor and go to 7/11 and get your donut. It’ll be better quality at half the price.
