LOVE this church! Pastor Gary Williams is able to break down messages in such a relatable way. Messages are so relevant and needed in today's times. This church and its people feel like an extended family.
Had a great experience coming to the St John location. This lady can really sing. The pastor one can relate too. Doors being blocked off was my only concern when personal emergencies. The ushers I feel are like security but they were friendly
I have always enjoyed the word and Ministry of Hopewell Church Mandarin and now having the opportunity to enjoy worshipping at the St. Johns Campus I can truly say that Pastor Gary Williams has done an amazing job building this ministry of excellence. Thank you for supporting the community and nonprofits that are focused on building the Kingdom and Community.
My family has been a part of this ministry for almost 20 years. Pastor Williams' unwavering leadership is essential to the body of believers. He delivers each message with power and authority regardless to it not being popular to what occurring in our society. Also, the praise and worship brought forth weekly always bless my soul! I am forever grateful to God for leading me to a church that is full of love and support for its members. My prayer is thatvwe continue to be a beacon of light to the surrounding areas and support this community in ways that are needed. 🙏🏽❤️
6/9/24, I visited Hopewell St. John’s for the first time. The parking lot staff was attentive, and the building was beautiful. I entered wearing jeans, a polo button-down, and a ball cap. In the auditorium, two seating attendants asked me to remove my cap. I explained I couldn't and offered to leave to avoid trouble or disrespect. They encouraged me to stay and hear the word. After about five minutes, a third gentleman in black tapped me on the shoulder and motioned for me to step outside. Once outside, he told me I couldn't stay with a hat on. He then motioned that I could sit outside the auditorium somewhere and watch, and I left. As a first-time visitor coming to receive God/ an encouraging word this was disheartening and a legalistic viewpoint. I'm writing this hoping that this may be handled differently next time by giving more grace and allowing more freedom in Christ. I came alone, and didn’t feel like I left as family.
