Hope Haven was a God sent for my family! My two-year old was referred for psychological testing & cognitive evaluations as an Autism Spectrum concern was flagged by our pediatrician. The Hope Haven facility also provides parenting support trainings, behavior management classes, social skills intervention and language support and speech therapy. I’m nearly certain other programs are housed and exist within this facility but those mentioned were the intervention programs and support resources suggested and offered to my family. Dr. Leedy completed a comprehensive Autism Spectrum evaluation and additional clinical testing with my daughter completely FREE of charge. That’s right, fully-covered costing the families who’ve been referred nothing. Dr. Leedy and her support staff were professional, thorough, and provided a safe environment for our daughter where she felt comfortable and safe the entire testing process. ASD evaluations are administered in a highly controlled environment where Dr. Leedy and her staff were extremely intentional in their handling of my daughter to ensure accurate assessment outcomes were met. The testing ran for close to 3 full hours once it began. Also note, that there was a waiting period of 4 months between receiving the pediatricians referral and our scheduled evaluation and testing appointment—but, well worth the wait to get results to guide us forward. My family couldn’t recommend Hope Haven more! At our follow up meeting we were given resources for services in the community as well as provided literature on the support programs offered Hope Haven itself. Our experience was five out of five stars and this is coming from an apprehensive & nervous parent who was reluctant towards testing in the first place. Thank you, Dr. Leedy and your care team!
Wast of time. This class is a scam. Instructor talked down the class, made comments that they get funding from the state and how they justify the class so the can receive more funding from the state. This being a required class is a scam to grab money from the state and people required to take it. The Instructor often went off topic talking about fortnight minecraft ninja turtles personal life and other unrelated topics. This course and test could be taught and taken in less than 1 hour as compared to 4.
My son KJ has been attending Hope Haven since his early elementary years. He turns 18 next month so we’ve been using their services for a very long time. Our son has attended summer camp, career camp, after school care, and has even utilized grief and behavioral therapy services from Hope Haven. Hope Haven has been such a sense of hope in our son’s life and they have truly felt like family. I can’t thank them enough for the resources and services that they offer and how much it has made our lives a lot easier. Mrs. Q and many of the staff there go above and beyond so we can’t express our gratitude enough. We thank this place for all that they do.
No one calls you back about enrollment I’ve scheduled a call and never received one && called them myself and they said someone would call me by end of day no phone call still so I guess this isn’t the school for my kid !
The instructor was phenomenal! He did a wonderful job teaching all the major points while keeping the class entertained and lighthearted. If you are reading this, I did fly to L.A. to go to a PopMart store to buy a Labubu for my daughter!
