Harbor Physicians

TLDR - Incompetent, stay far away. They dropped the ball on care for me so hard that I've been dealing with the same problem untreated for over a year. Also not recognized by most major insurances, and with a rude front desk staff that treats you like a pain in the ass. I went in over a year ago with a problem, and was told I would be referred to a specialist. My insurance at the time could find no record of the practice, and because of that I couldn't get into see anyone because i wasn't referred by a doctor they recognized. Months went by, dealing with my problem on my own and trying in vain to see a specialist. When the chance came to switch my insurance, I called multiple tines coordinate with them finding an insurance provider that recognized the practice, and actually switched my insurance for their benefit. To a plan that was worse and cost more, I might add. I called again multiple times over the next six months and always recieved the same answer: "Your insurance is the problem". the last time I called, the front desk lady admitted that she'd stopped trying a while back. Flabbergasted, I asked if she could just give me a recommendation for somewhere I could go to pay out of pocket. You know what her answer was? "No". Not "Let me ask around," or "try this website". Just "no" and she hurriedly hung up on me shortly after. A few weeks after, my pharmacy called me to say that they couldn't fill my prescription. I called the doctor and was sharply berated for not coming in for a visit (which I have to pay out of pocket for, even with the insurance I was told to get). She didn't make any attempt to schedule it, again hanging up quickly and leaving me to have to call back and schedule. It's worth nothing that I have a very busy life and never got a call/letter/text/anything telling me it was time for a physical. In fact, the vast majority of the communication with this office has been me having to take the initiative and call them or come in, there's very little effort coming from their end. All in all, I've just had it. My experience with Harbor Physicians has been worst care I've ever received from any office in my 41 years of life, and that's not hyperbole. I mean it literally. It's not Malpractice bad, but it's somewhere in that general area. Right now I'm supposed to go in for another checkup in order to keep getting meds, but as I sit here writing this I've decided that's not happening. I'm not giving these terrible people another red cent or moment of my time. They've wasted enough of both. EDIT: It's worth noting that I directly contacted my insurance, saw their recommended PCP, and now I have an appointment with a specialist to address my problem. This all happened in the span of a week. Sheer incompetence.

My recent visit to Harbor physicians was wonderful. The staff is delightfully engaged and thorough. It was obvious that they genuinely care about patient's health and well-being. Definitely a place I would recommend as it was an experience that resonates patient care.

Since I have started coming here it’s been the best. Very family friendly. I love offices like this because I feel part of the family.
