Guest Cottage

My wife and I stayed at Breakers Townhome for the month of August. We found the place to be extremely comfortable tastefully furnished and very conveniently located to all attributes of the island. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great stay on the island we would not hesitate to book again sometime.

The house is located at the end of a private road along the riverfront, offering beautiful views. While there are nearby homes and farms, the area is very quiet and peaceful. The oyster house and dock are fantastic spots to relax, fish, and hang out, with a picnic table and fire pit available. We did some night fishing and caught plenty of catfish, and we even brought a crab trap and caught a few crabs. The dock now has a railing, which was a nice addition. We picked up some firewood and enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit. The house itself was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking and cleaning—no need to bring any basics. While the bathrooms are a bit small, they have good water pressure and are fully equipped. The beds, pillows, and linens were all very comfortable. There are three large TVs, as well as a screened-in front porch with a swing, which we loved. The location is ideal—just across the bridge from Fernandina/Amelia Island and close to many great restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay!

The condo space is spacious and clean; waking up to a sunrise and a cup of coffee every morning is priceless. The beach is a "living" beach- the dunes are protected and not commercial. The beach is walkable with tortoises, bunnies and the occasional ducks, as well as the ever-present, rather bold seabirds. The condo came with beach towels and chairs for our use. We were able to swim and play in tidal pools daily, as the ocean water was warm and seagrass-free. The pool, while a little chillier than the ocean, was also a welcome play area. The condo hosts were wonderfully receptive to any questions we had...and helpful with any issues. The maintenance staff were also available to help and kept the grounds (and pool) immaculate. I look forward to revisiting this space again, and this time, for a longer rental term.

We rented this home to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The space was so lovely, peaceful, and relaxing—exactly what we were hoping for. We loved how secluded it felt, yet it was still only about 10 minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and local attractions, which made everything so convenient. The Guest Cottage team was amazing at making the entire stay an effortless process from booking to checkout. They even recommended local restaurants and attractions, which truly enhanced our experience. Their attention to detail and top‑notch service made us feel completely taken care of. This was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and reconnect. We will 100% be booking again—and again—and again!
