Stopped in for lunch with my husband and toddler. This restaurant is quite cozy and charming. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The food was really good! We had the meatballs, veggies (not pictured) and the classic French toast with fruit. We loved the meatballs and the French toast was perfect: light and fluffy and not too sweet on its own (of course sweetened from adding the maple syrup). We will definitely be back!
It was christmas morning, and there were no places that were willing to take in a group of 8 people (big surprise!) This place was willing to take us in and accomodate all of our needs. We had lemon curd french toast and it was creamy and delicious, enough for 2 people. This was our first spot at the island, and it did not disappoint. Prices were fair and there was parallel parking available outside. The interiors had gorgeous wooden decor.
After being seated and seeing how nice everything looked we had high expectations. The server was ok and the food was mediocre at best. Shrimp and grits, Mushroom and Swiss, Limoncello stuffed French Toast, The Burger, fried mozzarella, All Meat Omlet and Cheese Bread were ordered. The burgers were ordered medium well and were dry, the shrimp was not fresh smelling or tasting, and the fried mozzarella was on the burnt side. The sweet tea was not very sweet and cold. Sweet tea should be served warm on ice in my opinion. Salads are a joke. The rest was enjoyed. The deserts were good. The best dish ordered was the French Toast! Bathrooms out of paper towels but otherwise clean. The restaurant itself was clean except the floor. We most likely would not go back anytime soon.
Came down Sunday morning for brunch wish I could have tried the food but unfortunately we were left waiting at the host stand while multiple employees passed us. We even tried making eye contact with the bar tender for help and were completely ignored. Not a great first impression. We ended up walking across the street to try LEDDY’S PORCH which turned out to be much more welcoming.
We came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Honestly, I was prepared to not be impressed, but I was wrong! This was an excellent meal. The garlic knots were so amazing! It came served with cloves of roasted garlic. And my husband loved the pizza. I had the portobello sandwich which was delicious and topped with fresh avocado. Service was great. We loved it.
