I came here for the first time today and it was AMAZING! I believe it was the owners, but they both greeted me at the door which was nice and the servers were all so friendly. I had the corned beef hash and eggs and oh my… it was sooooo good 🤤 I also tried the waffle and it was huge and so fluffy and delicious (no pic my bad lol) Their biscuit was the best I ever had and I had to take a picture and show my husband haha I am definitely coming back and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to try more of their menu. I loved the vibe there too. Everyone was polite, happy, chill, and laid back which was nice for a diner/cafe place. It was a great place for breakfast and to start the morning at.
We got served by "The Best"! No, seriously. There is a woman here who's name is "Alex". Other reviews like this one call her that. It's on a picture hanging in the establishment. Customers there were calling her that. She holds herself to a higher standard of excellence AND the owner and the manager both feel that way about her a well. So, yeah. Did my research She's Da' Bessss. END OF REVIEW Okay - You want more. Fine. This pearl of the Avondale area is just was the blues needs & ordered. Yes, they have someone in the back with a flavorful "TOE". Cause they are sticking it in every plate. I ordered the Super Waffle. I can pretty hungry and boy-o'-boy, they came to play - or - they didn't play around. I don't know, BUT, what i can say is that the four eggs and the sausage patties comforted the contures of my belly. Then waffle quarters were thick and delicious. I love stacking eggs and sausage on every fork-full. The whole time the owner "Ian" was greetin' and chattin' it up with everybody. Cleaning tables. Holdin' doors and letting people was back into the world with smiles and farewells. He is the C-1 bone of this establishment. Everybody here bounces their side onto everybody else. Darn-it' if their food doesn't bring this whole place together like a well seasoned skillet.
I selected the Fox Restaurant out of all the other breakfast restaurants due to one thing. Locally owned. This place was quiet and everyone was nice. The food is prepared in such a way it seemed surreal, rhythmic even musical. Food was delicious and authentic high grade honey was offered to go along with the delicious biscuit.. I had the Super Fox meal.. Highly recommend this place, the Fox Restaurant.
The food was good 7/10 but not 'rock your world good' still gonna leave 5 stars. Great servers here and on top of every detail. This establishment we definitely see me again. I see ppl coming here for just a regular, good filling option.
Just had the ultimate breakfast experience at this little gem! 🏆 The Tough Guy Omelette stole the show. I had the delicious cheese and steak omelette, couldn't ask for more! The strawberry waffle was on point, topped with whipped cream, and the cheese grits?🔥 And those biscuits, though! 🤤 Coffee with creamer was perfection, and French toast was a great touch. Also got a club sandwich to go that was outstanding….. Service was top-notch, super friendly and inviting. If you're in Jax, get ready for a breakfast knockout with a diner feel.
