Wonderful location! Second, best of all of the Florida State colleges that I've gone to. Extremely clean even though it's downtown. It is a very safe environment and establishment. Staff are always courteous. There is enough security here but not too much to make you feel uncomfortable. There is an amazing selection of courses at this location and very easily and accessible to get in and out of. Parking is easily obtainable with plenty of room for those that have vehicles. They do not wish to park next to others If they decide to take their classic vehicle out for a ride and don't want to worry about pesky bumps and dings from ignorant drivers 👍

Amazing Culinary program, I graduated in 94' My child is enrolled now and he loves it
Unfortunately, I had a disappointing interaction with Jennifer Anderson academic advisor. During our phone conversation, I asked if I could call back because I was briefly occupied she followed by immediately hanging up on me with no closing which felt disrespectful and dismissive. I was so polite, so I do not understand where her attitude came from. Her reaction made me feel like I made her angry, and by her just hanging up on me I then felt like I could no longer trust for her advising and guidance. I called back to explain that the interaction felt disrespectful and how she did not say good bye before rapidly hanging up on me. She responded by yelling at me saying "Ok, good bye! Good-bye!" then hung up on me right away again. Her response made me feel like she only said "good-bye" because I mentioned how she hadn't before almost like she was just throwing it in my face. As someone seeking guidance and support, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and unheard. I hope future communication with students is handled with more patience, respect, and professionalism.
A female security burst into the bathroom yesterday and without introducing herself asked me while in a stall “do you attend this college?” I answered yes. She then said “what’s going on in the bathroom?” And at this point I’m confused. I’m inside a stall changing out of my scrubs from my job that I received after GRADUATING from fscj. I usually am at the north location and people change in the women bathroom out of the stall but I change inside. Especially the healthcare students who have to wake up early or leave work. Today is the graduation so I’m changing out of my scrubs so I responded “I’m just changing my clothes” no response was given so I yell “hello?” And I hear the person walk away. I asked the security at the front desk, who I asked for help with directions on this campus, about someone in the bathroom and she walks up and says “yes it’s me who asked, I saw someone with their shoes off”. The situation was handled unprofessionally and before you question someone you need to introduce yourself. The situation made me and others very uncomfortable, as a woman in the bathroom you should be able to close a stall, handle your business, and leave. Unless called to the bathroom please handle more serious matters than looking under stall doors.
If you plan to transfer from FSCJ to another University you might as well not attend FSCJ at all. Complete waste of time. None of the credits will transfer and count toward your progress. I should be a Senior in college and after transferring from FSCJ I am starting all over again. My AA basically means nothing when it comes to transferring.
