Fancy Sushi & Grill

I have dined ay multiple Fancy Sushi locations and I love them all. This location is no different. My husband and I arrived and wanted to dine in, however they were only doing take out service at the time. This was not an issue with my husband and I, however the host went out of his way to provide an excellent experience while we waited by offering us complimentary drinks. He went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of, above and beyond what would be expected. The food was amazing, as always. We will be back. Thank you for everything.

I used to go here often, and it used to be great. I really did not want to have to write this review, but my past 2 visits have been subpar. For both my last 2 visits, line items on the receipt have been mixed up between checks, and orders have been done wrong. Items that were never ordered ended up on the receipt. Last night, my table ordered crab rangoons that seemed to have been forgotten about, as they're usually piping hot but these were room temp. The service has also massively depleted in quality, but i cant really blame the servers. There need to be more waiters and the restaurant doesnt seem prepared for rush hours at all. Our server was nice, but she seemed completely burnt out and exhausted because she was basically serving the entire packed restaurant. Not to mention, other servers were there and just not helping her. This isnt fair to the customers, but its even worse for the serving staff. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Let me start by saying the food was delicious and the atmosphere was really nice. The service itself was speedy. But let me explain why I am leaving 3 stars and not 5 and why I'm rating service at a 1. Gloves... our server had the same gloves on for everything.. cleaning the tables, taking our orders, clearing dirty dishes, pushing trash down in the trash bin, and even eating her own food with the same gloves. Gloves are to protect the food from people's hands, not to protect one's hand from the food. Please practice proper glove etiquette by washing in between glove use and changing in between functions. When our food came, she still had gloves that were wet from the table she was cleaning. Though the food was delicious. I'm not sure I'll return if the front of the house glove use is terrible, I can't imagine the back of the house.
