What a hidden Jem for those who may not live in the area but are looking for genuinely good and huge portions of food. The real stars are the staff. I watched employees interact with the customers which were happy, friendly and nice. Our STAR was Sarah. Who was as sweet and accommodating as could be. If you like hidden Jem, this is the real deal!
I come here almost once a week, hamburger steak and okra with a sweet tea is the way to go! Quick, consistent flavours, and cheap good food.
I hadn't been here in years and I was very happy I went. I had a delicious 3 egg omelette that had ham, onion, peppers and tomatoes with cheese. I can't remember the name of it, but it was really good. My son had the steak and eggs. His steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The grits were perfect but the sausage was a little overcooked for me. I still have 5 stars because everything else was so good.
Not sure what your server Kat is going through, but she needs to leave it at the door and realize she has a job to provide good, pleasant service! Her attitude was horrible and was even rolling her eyes if I asked for something. It wasn't even busy and it was disappointing to have such a negative server. If she hates serving that much, then she should leave. Learn a lesson!
Haven't been here in 32 years and it's 98 percent identical to what I remember it was both in atmosphere and good southern diner food. Pancakes 🥞 were top notch 👌 as always!
