Have been a patient here since 2021. However most recent months are the reason for the review. Since being a patient every nurse practitioner was nice and helpful. However I saw a new nurse practitioner every visit and had to re-tell my medical history and whatnot everytime. It was hard to build a rapport with the same person. However this most recent time it was like I was being questioned regarding my health and trying to get any answer from anyone has been extremely difficult. No one returns any phone calls no one listens through the messages and after having to call my insurance company Dr. butler still blamed the pharmacy over what the insurance company needed. Switched primary cares and will not be returning.
While the front desk and intake staff were professional and friendly, I had my first appointment with Nurse Practitioner Monica Segall and it will be my last appointment with this office. She starts the appointment by stating “Female, age, weight, and has high blood pressure.” I thought this was kind of very rude and she was not particularly friendly. She started questioning me about my high blood pressure as soon as I get in there and accusing me of not taking my (nonexistent) medication. I came in because I had not been feeling well this past week and she basically blamed everything on my high blood pressure and ignored my concerns. She prescribed me a bunch of medication and didn’t explain anything about them. I ended up just going to an urgent care the following day and they told me I had strep throat and that’s why I wasn’t feeling well. You would think a PCP could help me with that but that was not the case.
We have been seeing Dr. Butler since September with our baby, and nearly every visit has taken close to two hours. Unfortunately, our last visit was the final straw. I brought our baby in for a sick visit with flu-like symptoms after a known flu exposure. Vitals were taken, but she was never given a flu test, and we were left sitting in the exam room for over an hour and fifteen minutes without any update or explanation. The overall experience showed a complete lack of concern and urgency. Your office charges patients a fee for missed appointments, yet there seems to be no accountability, transparency, or courtesy when patients are subjected to excessive wait times. There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. This level of service is extremely disrespectful and a disservice to families who trust your practice with their children’s care. Someone needs to take accountability and address these ongoing issues given the multiple complaints in your reviews. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to meaningful & overdue improvements.
I wanted give 0 point or no star but there is no option here. I had follow-up appointment on Thursday and they said would refer me to ENT. But when I called them on Friday the front desk said she forgot to refer me to ENT. When I asked the ENT name and number she even didn’t let me finish my speaking just hung up… my tone was soft and nice just wanted to follow up the refer process. Her attitude makes me confused and angry.
My review ranking is for the last few months I visited the doctor's office and the reason why I left. While the office staff was a notable bad experience, my principal issue was the medical care. Not that the doctor was bad. On the contrary, in the years I was a patient there she made recommendations and changes that produced some palpable and positive changes to my health, as I age. However, at one point she stopped seeing me and I had to endure the inferior experience of a nurse practitioner. I wonder: How many opportunities I missed of getting further positive changes from the doctor? Additionally, my insurance and I pay for a doctor and nothing less. My care now is always with a doctor, not a nurse. The difference is very notable. Finally, it is true shame this is happening and disheartening to read the reviews from the disappointed people.
