My psychiatrist at Elite DNA is Dr. Weinberg. I have worked with him for a while. I like that he is straightforward and will still listen and work with his clients. I’ve always appreciated his objectivity. If you want someone that will just give you the drugs you want, he is not for you. If you want someone to make a plan for you based on objective information you will like him. 5 stars for sure!
1-Star Review — Excellent Therapist, Extremely Disappointing Practice I want to make it very clear that this review is not a reflection of my therapist, Mrs. Musso. She has been absolutely wonderful, compassionate, and supportive, and I genuinely appreciate the care she has provided me. Unfortunately, my experience with Elite DNA as a practice has been extremely disappointing. I was initially dealing with a bill of around $650, and I was never properly informed that I would be responsible for a $75 office/specialty fee for my appointments. When I reached out for clarification, I was told that there had been a glitch in the system and that my appointments were supposed to be waived/free. I have screenshots documenting these conversations. I also had someone from the office reach out to my insurance to clarify the situation, and I was then informed that the $75 charge was being considered my responsibility under “specialty” care. I see a therapist. I sought mental health care because I was already struggling and needed support. NOT because I needed additional financial stress piled on top of everything else. My biggest issue is the lack of communication and transparency with this establishment. Had I been told upfront that I was going to owe $75 per appointment, I would have planned for it and paid it. I am not upset about being responsible for a bill that I knowingly agreed to, as I always pay my bills on time. However, I am upset that I was not properly informed until the charges had accumulated into a significant balance.(8/13/26- now 750.00$) (outrageous) I work in customer service myself, and I would never treat a customer or patient this way. When someone is seeking mental health care, communication, empathy, and transparency should be taken seriously. Instead, this situation has caused me even more stress and financial frustration at a time when I am already dealing with enough. I will be contacting my insurance company as well as the Elite DNA office manager to formally address my concerns regarding the billing and lack of communication. Because of how dissatisfied I am with the experience, I am also seriously considering taking my mental health care elsewhere. It is incredibly frustrating to need someone to talk to and genuinely want help, only to feel like the process of receiving that help has created another problem to deal with. Mrs. Musso, please do not take this review personally (if you see this!!). You have been wonderful, and I believe you deserve recognition for the care you provide. Honestly, Mikayla deserves a raise for having to navigate situations like this. My issue is with the practice, the communication, and the way this billing situation was handled, not with my therapist. I truly hope Elite DNA takes this feedback seriously. Patients should not have to discover unexpected costs after the fact, especially when those costs could have been explained from the beginning. Mental health care is already difficult enough to seek. Patients deserve transparency, empathy, and clear communication from the moment they walk through the door/get on the phone. Thank you, Jan’Ashaya Armstrong .
I’m so grateful I found Octavia Guice for medication management. She is kind, attentive, compassionate, and genuinely takes the time to listen and understand my needs. She is also very accommodating, which has made the treatment process much easier and more comfortable. I appreciate how she treats both me and my daughter with care and respect. It’s reassuring to have a provider who is responsive, thoughtful, and truly invested in her patients. I highly recommend Octavia to anyone looking for someone who is knowledgeable, caring, and easy to work with.
I went in today for the first time to meet my nurse practitioner and discuss my concerns to hopefully get on medication. On first impression I felt totally ignored and I felt like she barely even looked at me. We sat down to discuss my concerns and I felt like I was not being heard and like she wasn’t very interested in hearing about my history with mental health. About halfway through the appointment she kept “getting distracted” by messages on her computer and kept saying she “couldn’t multitask.” She paused our whole conversation to answer messages on her computer and then started texting on her phone. She laughed it off and said she would get better at multitasking eventually. By the end of our appointment I had a few questions about scheduling and as I was asking her a question she was typing on her computer and then asked me to repeat myself due to her not being able to “multitask” again. I feel like this is the only place I need to feel heard after struggling with mental health for so long and all it did was make me feel even worse about myself and like I didn’t matter.
Wow. I’m absolutely astonished by how unprofessional my psychiatrist was today. I was seen by Daniel Weinberg and I’m genuinely so shocked at how you’re not fired. Number one, interrupting me while I’m describing MY symptoms claiming that “everyone gets that”. Number two, pulling out his phone to AI SEARCH what medicine to put me on. After that proceeding to say “Hey this phone listens better than my kid!”. A psychiatrist by the way. You rushed me to explain my symptoms and then whenever you went over a list of medicines and I wanted to say which ones I’ve took you dismissed me saying “I probably don’t remember that right.” Someone who is supposed to be taking care of me and yet it feel like you’re revoking my right to have an input. On top of all that you want to go over medicines that you say can kill me if dosed wrong and then completely disregard them at the end as most likely a scare tactic.
