My favorite things about this place is two specific items. The precut Al Pastor meat that is like 5$ a pound. And the warm fresh tortillas in the cooler by the register. Together they make great street tacos when I can't figure out what to do for dinner. I hear the chicharrón in the meat market are good as well The restaurant side is also vert tasty, the chicharrón taco is amazing as long as it's fresh and not over cooked.
Very nice Mexican market and eatery. I was surprised to find out the owners are Dominican, lol. The cashier, Aimee, is a super sweet lady (hope I got her name right.) We had the Queso & Chips and the Fajita Nachos which was very good and came with a good amount of chicken, meat and shrimp. The only suggestion we have are for the nacho chips, we thought they were a little too oily for our taste. Other than that we had a great dining experience and will definitely be coming back to try the rest of their menu. Thank you 👍
Hidden gem in plain sight. El Supremo is definitely a place to find some GREAT Mexican food. They have a great selection of food in the Taqueria. Side note. They also have a meat market and produce if you’re more of a do it yourself. Staff is friendly and always willing to helpout. Overall this is a staple in the NorthEast Florida area as they have El Supremo sprinkled all across the Jacksonville and St. Augustine area.
We were so excited to try out the food and it didn’t disappoint! I ordered the California Burrito with steak…it also has French fries inside. It was delicious that I’ll definitely order that again. My husband ordered a chicken street taco and steak fajita quesadilla that he thoroughly enjoyed. It’s been a very long time since I have had a burrito that I enjoyed. The chips and salsa were also a hit. We shopped while we waited for our order. Made a bee-line to their specialty breads and got a variety to take home. I can’t wait to try those. I’ll definitely be going back. Especially on Taco Tuesday for some street tacos.
Today we stop to check out their Grand Opening and enjoy their $1.50 taco promotion! Omg… they were so good. It was hard to pick a favorite. The store is very clean and has a wonderful selection. We will definitely return. The staff was very friendly. Lots of parking ❤️
