⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Food and Great People! I stopped by El Primo Restaurant & Grocery in Jacksonville and had the Sancocho de Res—absolutely delicious. The broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and the portion was generous. Maria Jose my server provided excellent service and was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. Marleni, the owner, also stopped by to make sure everything was good, which was a nice personal touch. I also love that they have a grocery store stocked with all kinds of Latino products, snacks, and ingredients—bringing a little taste of home closer to you. Delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Atmosphere is a little off putting. Language barrier that is difficult to overcome. The pricing is convoluted. I ended up ordering 3 tacos and a small cup of beans...25.73 ! They were pork tacos with cilantro and a tiny bit of onions on them. TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS & 73 CENTS ! .. WOW. Never, ever, ever again. First time, last time. Skip this place..Go to Mi Rancho. Ive included a picture of these (almost) 26 dollar tacos....
The food was barely edible. The chicken was refried and served to me. You can only imagine when you take a piece of chicken out of the refrigerator that you cooked yesterday that was fried and refry it today not Mui Bueno. The side of plantings were dry and that’s not how they’re supposed to be.🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
The absolute best tacos I've had in Jax. I frequent this place a couple of times a week at least. Location is convenient to fscj, food is great, staff are friendly. My only complaint is the noise level is sometimes excessive. Not enough to keep me from coming for the tacos though.
I decided to come here for the seafood soup since on their menu it stated that they have only Fri, Sat, and sun. I went on a Saturday during lunch time like 1pm. I asked for the soup and pan de bono(type of bread) they stated they didn't have any of ethier. I ordered the menudo and ceviche. The menudo tasted ok and it came with rice and tortillas. The ceviche was not what you consider ceviche. It was more onions and peppers than seafood. The shrimp was hard and tasted funny. I didn't see any fish in it and the octupus was the pink canned kind. I threw it away at home nobody wanted it. The lady then comes and states they can make the seafood soup it would take 20 mins. The seafood soup was disappointing it was just clear broth with alot of vegetables and couple of shrimps and pieces fish. The customer service was lacking as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not return. The only reason I didn't give a one is because the menudo was decent.
