The worst experience I have ever had, I can’t get in contact with my therapist and I haven’t for months, more importantly I’ve having a significantly hard time due to personal reasons and because of that I haven’t become manic, my NP psychiatrist, Lorraine, and I quote, said to me when I told her how bad things were getting, “well it could be worse” not only is that absolutely not something that should be said ever to any type of patient but especially not one having manic problems, my symptoms are not nor have ever been treated, I unbelievably get brushed off, I have repeatedly gone to the Cordinator for psych and told her what was going on and how I was being treated and nothing was fixed, I expressed multiple times how much worse things are getting with me, to Lorraine and it would unbelievably seem she absolutely could not care less about anything. When requested to get her NPi number to file a grievance I was ignored, after I expressed unbelievable dissatisfaction and saying I find zero point in continuing to see a provider when all they do is put me down, ignore me, my problems, and symptoms and then blame me for medication not working or the fact it’s medication I can not take, which just goes even more to the fact I am so not heard. Just because you throw a BS diagnosis on someone because you do not want to deal with them or face the fact had it have been handed properly originally and we wouldn’t be here now, you patient blame for medication not working, news flash, if you don’t have that diagnosis the medication will not work, but of course that’s apparently irrelevant and I am the problem, and according to the provider “we’ve tried everything” not even remotely true or close to being a true statement, to haven’t done anything. When I put my foot down a bit more than I normally do after saying there’s no point in continuing to see a provider who is more of a hindrance than anything and I want a new provider or to be discharged, I was then threated that all medication would be stopped and they would no longer assist with insurance claims, ok, and? Not on any medication and medication that would help is being withheld, and I’m being ignored so nothing medication wise has happened, my mother and myself have been the ones fighting with the insurance the last two weeks on the one medication that was finally prescribed and after almost three hours on the phone, multiple reps, multiple calls, it’s a medication I can’t even take!!! Was entirely a waste. I said I wanted the contact information for someone with some real authority because the way I have been ignored and treated, is absolutely not ok!!! I again was pushed off and aside, told some associate person would reach out to me, not what I requested but ok, sure. It’s things like this that make people, myself included, not want to speak about problems let alone mental health concerns, or even see doctors, it’s the same thing every time. Mrs. Leslie at the front desk is absolutely so unbelievably amazing!!!!! She’s actually the only one who does listen! She is such a wonderful person, brightens the mood and day every time!!! If only she could fix my current my doctor couldn’t care less problem.
