Dr. Swetha Pathak

Overall, it was a disappointing experience working with Dr. Pathak. I was diagnosed with Melanoma 5 years ago. I stayed within the Dermatology Southeast network when I moved to Jacksonville so I opted with Dr. Pathak’s office. The check up appointments were good, nothing out of the ordinary. Then in February of 2026, I noticed a large bump that quickly formed on my body. It was a little bigger than the size of a walnut. It was about 3-4 inches above my original Melanoma spot from 5 years ago. So I had it checked out by Dr. Pathak. However, there was a lack of urgency on the seriousness of this bump on my body. My original dermatologist in Tallahassee had my original melanoma removed the day of the diagnosis. With Dr. Pathak’s office, they wanted more imaging done, and did not prioritize the surgery for it to be removed. It was not removed off my body until mid-April. Of course, results came back and it was Melanoma again. The lack of urgency and seriousness by Dr. Pathak was disappointing to say the least. Cases like mine should have be treated as high priority with a need to remove the melanoma as soon as possible, considering my past and how close it was to my original melanoma site. Unfortunately that did not happen. After going through multiple tests and appointments at the Mayo Clinic, they all agreed that this should have been taken care of more seriously and with urgency. Please be wary of this office and how they operate. I would hate for somebody to go through the same situation as myself. Since the 2nd diagnosis, I have left Dr. Pathak’s office and go to Dr. Chavez instead. So far the experience has been good and somebody I would recommend.
