Jacksonville’s best primary care practitioner (hands down). Dr. Cory Duncan takes a truly holistic, patient-centered approach to primary health care. What I mean by that is he genuinely cares about your health, not just checking boxes. His service is night and day compared to the more traditional primary care experiences I’ve had, where you feel rushed, most of the visit is spent looking at a computer screen, the care is done by the nurse, and the care feels more system-driven than patient-driven. First things first: Cory’s prices are VERY reasonable, and his incentive clearly isn’t about anything else but about recommending what’s actually the best treatment for you. You’re not just a chart. You’re the customer, and you feel that. Second: He takes his time. He makes sure you feel heard and that you understand exactly what’s going on with your health and your treatment plan. He’s not going to rush you out the door. I can’t count the number of times I went to my primary health care and saw the doctor for only 5 minutes. I left asking “is that?” Dr. Duncan is there for you. I can go on and on about Dr. Duncan, but I can promise you this: you’ll leave feeling like you finally have a primary care doctor on your side.
