Wonderful discovery! Freshly made chips. Unique flavor salsa.. and a salsa bar.. the quality of meat was superb! I had street tacos Carnita and steak, then an American taco with shredded beef. All very good! Then we had chimichanga with shredded beef.. all meat cuts were tasty and lean. Street corn dish was quite flavorful. Lovely mural on the walls.. We will be back!
If you love authentic Mexican food we recommend you try this place. The owner is the same owner of the once casa Leon at Mayport road. I am so happy they are closer to us now and the food is as good as I remember. Service was amazing and the drinks and food on point.
The food was great, we loved the fried ice cream. My favorite one of many tried so far. The atmosphere was traditional Mexican restaurant style. Our service was very friendly although a bit forgetful. We had to ask for chips for our queso, then for salsa then for straws, refills
Great food, great service, and amazing happy hour drinks! I enjoyed a drink while waiting for my to-go order, and as always, everything was delicious. They also have a great salsa bar with so many options to choose from, so you can pick your favorite salsa to go with your meal. Highly recommend!
Visited Don Taco Leon for the first time yesterday and what an amazing experience. This family-run restaurant truly exemplifies authentic Mexican cuisine, and the friendly environment is a huge bonus. Could not recommend this place enough.
