The burrito is huge! Enchiladas are great, especially the Enchiladas de Mole. You can find all the usual Mexican options here as well as some great lunch deals.
We have driven by here so many times and finally stopped in to try it out. I wish we had stopped in earlier. What a great place! Our server was exceptional and the food was so so good and the prices are more than reasonable. We loved the decor and house music. What a great vibe! We will be back..soon! I highly recommend this business.
The food compares to Arizonan Mexican cuisine. I ordered the chicken flautas the best I’ve ever had no skimping on the meat. We usually rate a place by their beans which are on point. My other half ordered the cochinita pibil which doesn’t disappoint. Our server, Fernando, is always great and attentive.Highly recommend.
We have been dining at Don Juan’s for many years. Last Saturday we came here for just some margaritas with my husband. The bartender made our night feel so special. She made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to take care of us. Thank you for an exceptional service!
It has been since before the cooties that we ate at Don Juan. I remembered them having great salsa. We went for a weekday lunch and were seated promptly. Drinks came out slowly after we sat. Chips/salsa was another wait. The chips were unacceptable as they tasted of old oil. The chopped salad was a good size and the greens not overwhelmed in stems. There was plenty of chicken. The avocado seemed fresh and wasn’t brown. The tomatoes were good, and you know how hard it is to get decent tomatoes in Jax. The California burrito was quite large and contained plenty of grilled chicken and other fillings. I would’ve liked more cheese topping, though, but I like lotsa cheese. The salsa, although runny, was good and had a fair amount of cilantro, which I like. Since the tortilla chips were inedible I poured the salsa on the burrito. On the down side, our server was mostly absent. We waited and waited for refills and even put our empty glasses on the edge of the table. Our server was essentially MIA even when it came time for our bill. Overall we had a good lunch and were satisfied with both of our orders. DJ can easily fix the deficient chip situation and it was probably not their usual. They will need to address the lack of waitstaff attention and presence. They don’t need to hover but being invisible is unacceptable. Remember: you serve people, not food. But we will likely return since everything else was good and substantial.
