Ate here for the first time and really loved the atmosphere and service. I appreciate that they have tall high chairs for littles when you're sitting at the high top tables. I got the Tokyo chicken ramen, which was good but maybe I should have gotten the curry ramen because I liked my ramen but didn't love it. The chicken was not fried (though the menu says it's fried), and it didn't have a lot of flavor on its own. The bamboo was really good. But everyone else in my party got the curry ramen with medium spice (including my husband) and that broth is really really good. So maybe I'll try that next time. They don't take reservations, which was fine because we arrived right at 5 when they opened, and there were already lots of people waiting to go inside. We were able to get a table easily though.
Literally one of the best Ramen places in Jacksonville. With that being said, the Ramen and drinks are great, but the DOMU wings with the kimchi butter sause are legendary. The atmosphere is great, kind of giving hipster vibes. But just order the wings, you won't regret it.
This was some of the best ramen I’ve ever had! It was very flavorful and unique with their crème brulee egg. The service was somewhat slow but our waitress was kind and apologized for the wait.
My second visit here. I only remember ordering the wings last time and they were delicious. This visit I got the Richie Rich. A creamy broth with the pork meat. It’s a very hearty meal. Also got the Szechuan cucumbers as a side. Also delicious, mild heat. We arrived at opening which is 5 pm which we were the first to be seated. Our server was attentive at first but got distracted at the end. We had to call on her to get a carry out container and check.
First time at DOMU. Prompt greeting and seating. Friendly and guided service. Appetizer: cucumbers - perfect cuts, crunch and spice. Main: Yuzu Shoyu - added egg brulee, beech shrooms, corn, and chili oil. Broth was perfect temperature and portioned well. Dessert: sampled the soft serve ice cream flavor of the week - Dubai chocolate Will be back for another bowl. Cheers.
