⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dolce Vita Modern Italian absolutely exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked through the front door until the end of our meal, everything was exceptional. The first impression was fantastic thanks to the hostess, who told us she was from New Jersey. She was incredibly warm, friendly, personable, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home before we even sat down, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The Chicken Francese was nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s such a simple, classic Italian dish, but the chef completely transformed it into something unforgettable. The flavors were perfectly balanced, incredibly rich, and so delicious that every bite was an experience. It’s rare to find a restaurant that can elevate a traditional dish to this level, but Dolce Vita absolutely nailed it. Our child ordered what seemed like a simple plate of spaghetti with garlic, chicken, and vegetables. We expected a basic kids’ meal like we’ve had at countless other Italian restaurants, but the chef completely flipped the script. It was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and prepared with the same care and attention as every other dish. That level of consistency and pride in the food says a lot about the kitchen. A special thank you to Danni, our server, who made our evening even more enjoyable. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely fun throughout the entire experience. Her recommendation of the Chicken Francese turned out to be the highlight of the night, and we’re so glad we listened! Outstanding food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable dining experience. Dolce Vita Modern Italian has definitely earned a place among our favorite Italian restaurants. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine with incredible flavors and hospitality.

We wrapped up a business event with a private dinner at Dolce Vita and it was everything! The team was so warm and accommodating, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right for a group of women who needed a beautiful space to breathe, eat, and connect after a full day. The live music entertainment took the night to another level and had everyone in the best mood. And the custom cannolis at the end of the night? Absolutely incredible. The perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable day. It felt effortless and special at the same time. Highly recommend Dolce Vita for your next group dining experience in Jacksonville!

She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like valued guests throughout the entire meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and her positive attitude truly elevated our dining experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was elegant yet inviting, and the service was exceptional. If you’re visiting Dolce Vita, ask for Johanna—you won’t be disappointed! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making our visit so memorable!

I was going to be generous with a 2 star review, but the last star was lost upon payment. First, I will say the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. They were mostly attentive, albeit a bit unorganized. They have a photographer on site that takes your photos and sells them for $20/copy. The food took quite some time to arrive to our table after ordering. The food tasted as if it was microwaved. Every pasta dish we ordered (3/4 meals) was overcooked and the sauces tasted watered down. My mom’s bone in pork was the driest I’ve ever seen. It essentially had as much moisture left as overcooked turkey. I won’t go into detail about the rest, but I ate maybe 10% of my entire amatriciana. The kicker (after the slow service and awful food), was the surprise automatic gratuity. We were a party of 4, but apparently any party over 6 *or* a bill over $200 has an automatic gratuity of 20% “to protect the server”. This isn’t posted anywhere, by the way, which goes against the transparency part of the auto gratuity law. We were so eager to leave that we didn’t argue it. We’d have tipped anyway and my fiancé tipped a bit more on top of this as our server was quite friendly, but the lack of transparency wasn’t appreciated. The photos of the restaurant are beautiful and a lot of thought was put into the idea, but the food left much to be desired and we will certainly not return.
