  When my daughter was born, I was still grieving the loss of my own mother, who had passed away just five days earlier. Finding Ms. Laura felt like a gift from above. She has become the sweet, loving grandmother my daughter never got the chance to meet. From the moment we stepped into Davis Family Home Day Care, I knew it was more than just a daycare…it was a home filled with warmth, love, and care. Ms. Laura has been watching my daughter since she was just 15 weeks old, and now, nearly a year later, her little face still lights up with excitement every time we arrive. She’s always eager to play with the other little ones, and I know it’s because she feels safe, loved, and truly at home there. Ms. Laura prepares home cooked meals and has helped gently introduce solids to my daughter in a way that made the transition feel comforting and familiar. As a first-time mom, I’ve had plenty of “is this normal?” moments, and Ms. Laura has always been there to reassure me with kindness and experience. What makes her even more special is the way she welcomes families. Pickups often turn into little visits filled with laughter and “ladies’ talk.” Her sister Carol, who lives there as well, is always lending a helping hand, and together they create such a peaceful, nurturing environment. Ms. Laura has a calming presence, a real life Mother Goose. I’m endlessly grateful to have found her, and even more grateful that my sweet baby gets to grow up surrounded by such genuine love and care. It’s such a relief to know she is with someone who cares for her as she would her own children. We absolutely adore her!
