If you want to have a Michelin star dining experience… eat here. We did the Wednesday night Chef’s Tasting menu with the wine pairing. Amazing does not even begin to describe the food. The Chef brings a flair of Colombia to each dish - which sends them out of this world! The scallop…. No words…. Definitely the best I’ve ever had. And I have had a lot of scallops. The Octopus-knocked it out of the park. I have had Octopus literally prepared all over the world. This dish was so far superior to any other preparation I have ever had. And again - I have had a lot of amazing Octopus. The Chef came out and explained each dish. Told us about the history of some of the key ingredients. Told us the best way to eat it. Great advice! The sommelier’s wine pairings were so spot on. The price is unbelievable! For the Chefs tasting - you do have to prepay. It is only done on Wednesdays. Cannot recommend strongly enough that you eat here. If you have the opportunity to do a tasting - more than strongly recommend you do that. But dining here any day of the week will be a pleasure!
We drove from Greenville, SC specifically to experience David’s Restaurant, and it was absolutely worth the trip! From being welcomed and seated early to the incredible service, every detail was exceptional. Trish was wonderful in helping us navigate the menu, and Adrian was incredibly attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire experience. Juan, the sous chef, truly made the night unforgettable. He personally brought out our dishes, explained the creativity and technique behind each one, and took the time to answer all of our questions. You could feel the passion and artistry behind every plate. The food was spectacular, and the octopus was honestly the best we’ve ever had. What makes David’s truly special is the team—they have something extraordinary there. An unforgettable culinary experience. We drove hours for it and would do it again in a heartbeat!
The most wonderful seafood I've ever had. We have traveled all over the world, and had fresh seafood . This was by far the best . The mixture of flavors( the garnish, glaze, sauce, etc) on the plate that compliment the dish were amazing. We also met the owner , Chef David , he was very gracious and humble !!
We were incredibly fortunate to enjoy a dinner here with another couple who are dear friends. The star of the show appetizer wise was the grilled octopus --- melting soft (not easy) AND flavorful. My husband and I then shared the ribeye which was cooked perfectly... they were very kind about letting us share and divided the steak and presented it with a comensurate set of sides for a reasonable upcharge. One of our friends had the filet and the other the boulliabase... both very satisfied with their meal . At the start of the meal we had a lovely amuse bouche of fish tartare in a small pastry shell and divine foccacia with butter. Only room for one dessert.... vegan key lime mousse which was just the right light bookend to an incredible meal. Oh, if you like gin and tonics you cannot go wrong with the Garden G&T. Lastly, a shoutout to Gina, Katrice and Julia who were our service team... such a polished, engaging team ...a real part of what contributed to this feeling like the special experience it was.
Really amazing I went there for my 21st birthday a bit ago really amazing interior (you wouldn't think it looks like that inside) and really good food they give you a small tasting of the day one bite but amazing and good bread service they have a varied menu. Along with daily specials I got the Chilean sea bass with Yukon mashed potatoes which was very good especially the skin of the fish. For a dessert and my drink I got a chocolate martini and a cream brulee very good and the waiter handwrote a happy birthday message to me overall this place is simply amazing.
