Dapper D's Cheesesteaks

We finally had the opportunity to try Dapper D’s! There’s been plenty of buzz online about who has the BEST cheesesteak in Jax. I have to admit that Dapper D’s holds the crown! The bread is SOFT and the meats are seasoned well. The provolone cheese is NOT overpowering and the onions were perfect! They are a little pricey…but you get what you pay for! QUALITY!!!

The cheesesteak is great, but unfortunately they gave me raw uncooked mushrooms rather than sautéed. No matter, I picked them off and enjoyed the sandwich. The wings weren't so good. I asked for garlic parmesean wet and got hardly any garlic or parm and the wings were not wet. I was disapointed as I mainly went there for the wings. The cheesesteak and service saved this review from being 3 stars.

Attended Grand opening of Dapper D’s Cheesesteaks in Downtown Jacksonville and the food was genuinely good. Ps. There is a very nice cigar lounge upstairs and a full bar! What really stood out though was the owners. They were welcoming, personable, and you can tell they genuinely care about the business and the people who walk through the door. It’s always great to see local businesses bringing both quality food and good energy to downtown. These are authentic cheesesteaks with ingredients source from Philadelphia! I tried the mushroom cheesesteaks, the six piece wings, and the fries. All of it was so good. The cheesesteak was fresh, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor without being overly greasy. The bread held up perfectly, and the portions were solid for the price. The fries were really good fries. I love a good fry. Oh and they have really good ice! lol the crunchy kind.
