We are on our 5th attempt to get decent sliding glass doors. Visit 1-They installed the doors in our new Dreamfinders home on a track with a hump that didn't allow the doors to open all the way. Visit 2- They arrived to pull up the track and smooth the foundation underneath so the door would open. Unknown to the builder, they pealed the sheetrock off the sides of the door, chipped tile, knocked stucco off the outside to then say they didn't have a replacement track, and it would take a couple of weeks to arrive before we can repair any of this. The doors were damaged during removal so the builder ordered new doors also. Visit 3- When our appointment came, they didn't have a set of new doors so they sent us a damaged set that was earmarked to go back to the supplier. We asked the installers about the damage and they told us they were damaged on arrival, but it was the only doors they had that would fit our house that day. Instead of the manager apologizing for sending us damaged doors on purpose, he apologized that their installers mentioned it and they would be talked to!! Seriously?! We had to explain that the installers discussing damage we could see is not the problem here. Builder orders all new doors AGAIN. Visit 4- The slider the doors are on was installed crooked. They cut a wedge out of the sliding door so it would slide that is so large I can stick a large spoon through it from the outside into the house. It is not watertight and bugs can get in. The doors also have so much condensation that we can't see out of them. Working with the builder again for replacement doors again. We have had to take 8 days off work so far to allow them in to replace doors and to let contractors in to fix the damage caused when removing the track that wasn't installed correctly before we closed. Save yourself the hassle. Photos of our 3rd set of sliding doors attached.

Wendy and her team helped me design the outdoor kitchen that I have always wanted. She gave me proper expectations of the timing and process. Once we finalized the project , Debi and the construction team walked me through the project. She was always available via email or the phone with any question or concerns I had. Once the project was complete they were quick to complete the punch list items I had without any push back. Their goal was that the finished product met my expectations. Which it certainly did!!
We loved working with Construction Solutions. From start to finish on each project, they did what they said they would, on time and under budget, all while exceeding our expectations. Their work is beautiful and the are very professional, taking great pride in what they do. The service after the sale, and installation are top notch. I would not hesitate recommending CSS to anyone looking to have work done. I've included a couple of photos of one of the projects they did for us (puppy not included ;-). We think it is a show-stopper based on everyone's reaction when walking into our home!! Wonderful company, beautiful work and great people!!
These people installed an 42" fireplace that I requested through my builder, but it fills the room with smoke and soot collects on the surrounding facia stone. I troubleshoot for a living and tried every window/door open/shut configuration possible at differing temperatures over 3 years and could not get it to stop. Company was fully engaged from the beginning and initially sent someone very competent to check everything out. Second visit was by 5-7 workers I like to call the "Hands in pockets" crew that did not work the problem very much and ultimately blamed it on airflow scenarios I had just demonstrated in front of them and proven not to be the issue. The firebox is 42" but the the smoke collector is only 6" deep with an 8" flue. This isn't enough to service the firebox, but on top of that the flue immediately bends several inches at the top of the firebox to correct a misalignment of the main pipe and chimney cap. The facia stone on the wall is sooted black, the mortar underneath is baked and crumbling from the heat rolling out the top face. They jerked me around for a couple years. I gave up and decided to convert to gas fire logs from a different company, because after all, only the lawyers win when you take that route. No thanks. The collector and flue won't even remove that burnt gas smell. These people should have replaced the defective firebox, but the relationship with their manufacturer is obviously more important than the one with their builder's customers. Its just cheap sheet metal and I would've endured the dust and disruption had they fixed it, but no. Construction Solutions wins. Congratulations. Edit: Your reply is bizarre and demonstrates a complete inability and disinterest in resolving the issue. My name is not Griffin. The fresh air intake duct is clearly visible in the mid-construction picture to the left of the firebox. The room has 2 8'x12' glass sliding doors and the problem was demonstrated with those doors both open and closed to the outside. I did this in front of your people. I also provided that information in a complete run-down of all the troubleshooting scenarios that had been performed. I'd accuse you of deception on this, but really, I think the issue is you're just dense and don't care. I'd stop replying. I've already converted to gas and you're not doing yourself any favors. You are publicly demonstrating the very reason this did not get resolved in the first place. Now I get to smell burnt gas instead of oak this and every winter to come in what is likely to be my last single family structure. You've no idea how disappointing this. I converted to gas and walked away. I suggest you do the same.
My initial review below is accurate. Their response is not true. The fireplace I was supposed to get was advertised as a 50 inch (see picture) and was to be discounted from the 50 inch price. During installation I discovered I was getting a 42 inch model. I politely expressed my concern regarding price. Harley specifically told me I would not get any price adjustment because I was getting a "new in the box unit". This is what I assumed I got until the one I got failed. Their technician, Gene, revealed that I had the floor model because he knew it was defective when installed. This is now confirmed in their response. I have waited more than 5 weeks for repairs. They have missed 6 appointment. I do not think they even have the parts. I have neither been foul nor threatening towards these people. Rather than address my issue this guy wants to slander me. Here is what they did when I posted this review. Mr. Marvin, This email serves as a notice of cease and desist any contact with our office in person or via phone. When your parts come in we will ship them to you and you can have someone else install them. H_____ B____ Sales Manager Construction Solutions & Supplies THE WORST!!! They started by misrepresenting the fireplace I bought. The installation was delayed and done in a substandard fashion. When I attempted to address concerns I was ignored and repeatedly lied too. When the fireplace failed it took 4 appointments over 3 weeks to get a technician out who informed me that I received a floor model that was defective when installed. He then misdiagnosed my problem. When I called to explain the situation 5 days later they had not yet bothered to order my parts. When the parts arrived they made an appointment 2 weeks out. Nobody showed up when scheduled. I called and inquired. I was told that I was going to be placed on the schedule for the following day and would receive a call shortly to confirm a time. Again nobody showed or called. In case you are keeping score that is 1 for 6 in keeping their appointments. I drove to their business today and met Mr. Brown, the new general manager. He asked to have some time to find my parts and get me scheduled for installation. He committed to call me by days end. He too failed to meet the expectation he set. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company.
