Update: I will not remove the previous review because it is what happened with the previous staff. But I will change the rating simply based on the extreme level of kind, considerate and apologetic customer service I recieved from the new management and staff reaching out to me regarding the issues I had with the previous staff. They have had FULL staff changes and the person I had the bad experiences with is no longer there. I know this because the new management sent me an email a long while back and wanted to know more about what I experienced. He listened and was very understanding and apologetic. I have full confidence that they absolutely care about their client treatment and that there will be mo further problems like this in the future. I have been dealing with serious health problems for a while but as soon as I can I am very much looking forward to scheduling appointments with them for me and my family. I recommend staying away from this place, or at least from Alexandria. I brought my son there for family counseling first and individual counseling second. We severely needed family therapy and Alexandria basically argued with me and patronized me on our last and final telehealth appointment. She also repeatedly changed the appointment times on us. I've added the text communication screenshots where she adjusted our appointment 3 different times, we only saw her 3 times. The last screenshot where she texted and said we would be starting at 11:15 for a 11am appointment, she called after that text and said she was just leaving her house she had something personal come up at home and that we could either do the appointment virtually from her house or she could drive to the office and be there in 15 minutes. We were already sitting in the parking lot for the appointment and that text from her was sent at 10:51am when we were already almost to the office. I will have to update my review later to include all of the details but for now I just wanted to make people aware.
Cox Behavioral Health Group is exceptional. Amber at the front desk was always so sweet and accommodating. The office itself always had a peaceful, calming ambiance that I always appreciated. My therapist, Jennifer Mejia, is truly exceptional at what she does! I had the privilege of working with her both individually and in couples therapy, and she is undoubtedly one of the most skilled and compassionate therapists I have encountered. Her depth of knowledge in her field is evident, and she consistently came to our sessions fully prepared, ensuring we made the most of our time together. Jen's kindness, patience, and empathy created a safe and supportive environment, yet she never shied away from asking the tough questions or gently challenging us when needed. Those moments often led to significant breakthroughs, helping my husband and I grow, both individually and as a couple. We are deeply grateful for her guidance and support. We recently moved out of state and were sad to leave, but we will always be thankful for the positive impact Jen and this office had on our journey.
Deana Zuluaga is not what she seem to be she very manipulative and she not to be trusted she the worst therapist I have ever had the last day of my therapy session with her she call me ask me just a phone call if I hurt my old therapy Amanda Hawthorne I have not seen my therapist Amanda for about a year almost two because I was looking for work and I had to end my therapy to focus on that I have never harm Amanda Hawthorne she is the only good thing about cox behavior health when she was working there I told her many time because of my trauma and I have memory problem Deana took advantage of my memory’s trauma Deana insisted stating you have to tell me I Need to know this with a manipulative a trusting voice acting very friendly with a tone I told her lie because I know that I needed to give her the false information because I know that she was trying to find an excuse to kicked me out of cox behavior health she was successful because she is the type of person who will do that to her client I happen to me I been going to cox for many years its sad that I got kicked out for a person who wanted me out I want to warn everybody she is manipulative and someone who take advantage of their client health just to get benefit on her behalf she a lier making her client look bad and her kindness is not to be deal with just so she can twist yours or mine health or using past experience of any kind and no thanks you just so they can get kicked out when they need the help the most she is not to be trusted i have talk to my mother she stated that therapy Deana is a lier and that I never beaten Amanda hawthorn my mother agreed that Amanda Hawthorne was the only therapist that was there to help me and guide me through my trauma my mom kept communicated with while I was in therapy throughout my therapy sessions and be warn don’t trust Deana Zuluaga be careful the conversation you have with her in anyway do yourself a favor and ask for another therapist this is not gonna be the first and not the last time she take advantage someone health manipulate the conversation she has done it to me and time like this I wish Amanda Hawthorne was still there still to help me and her other client it’s a shame that cox she not here I want everyone to know that Deana Zuluaga toxic manipulative twisting conversation or past experience against you just so she can used it in her benefit individual who Need help should not be going to her if she can’t even provide the quality guidance because she not there for me i bet she never was if you feel this way or find something off about her do yourself a favor don’t let her manipulated or take advantage you in anyway do yourself a favor and find a better therapist within cox or somewhere else because this is not gonna be the last I am pretty sure she has done this before because if this happen to me it will happen to you so be careful when you even spoke to her
My experience with Cox Behavioral Health Group has been excellent, more than I expected! I have been seeing Iris Vivier for over a year now and the change has been very positive for me. She helps me and gives me advice that helps me make better decisions for my well-being. I feel very satisfied with all the support she gives me.
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 star) My experience with Cox Behavioral Industries was appalling and unprofessional from start to finish. The lack of competence, decorum, and basic professionalism was shocking for an organization that claims to operate in a behavioral or clinical space. The representative I spoke with was rude, snarky, dismissive, and carried himself with an inflated ego that was completely unsupported by his conduct, communication skills, or apparent work ethic. Instead of professionalism, I was met with arrogance and condescension. Instead of solutions, I got attitude. If the only qualification this individual brings to the table is a last name, that is painfully obvious—and frankly unacceptable. His behavior reflected poorly on the entire organization and demonstrated a complete failure of leadership, accountability, and customer relations. No organization serious about credibility or integrity would allow a representative to speak to people this way. Cox Behavioral Industries needs to seriously reevaluate who they put forward as the face of their company. Based on this interaction alone, I would not recommend this organization to anyone expecting professionalism, respect, or basic competence.
