While traveling up to SC, we decided to stop in this little joint. The people were nice, the service was quick, but the food was fine, not good, just fine. For price reference, everything was $23, you can decide if it’s reasonably priced :) But the sandwich bread kinda ruined it for me; it almost tasted like school lunch. The mac tasted like it came from a box and was watery. The collard greens tasted canned & the coleslaw was fine. I’m glad we checked it out, but it wasn’t as good as we thought it’d be. But others rave about this place so check it out for yourself! :)
Cousin Willies had amazing food, our waitress was phenomenal! She was on top of our order, kept our drinks filled and the wait time for our food was great. Their chicken tenders are crunchy, moist, and delicious. I tried fried corn on the cob for the first time here too! My only complaint is there wasn't enough BBq sauces to dip this delicious food in! 10/10 would recommend!
Stopped by for lunch while making the drive down to Jacksonville and I’m sure glad I did. Food was delicious and priced fair. I tried the ribs and beef combo and they were amazing. Super tasty and service was quick too. Great place to eat good BBQ.
They were crazy, busy and it took about fifty minutes after I called in my order. The portions are good. The greens were kind of salty.
Get off the highway and check out the local digs along the way! I was so excited to see this place still in operation after a wonderful meal a few years back. I had to get the nachos with pulled pork again and it was just as good as I remembered from my last visit! Friendly and helpful staff who will gladly offer suggestions on the menu and even a to go drink when you are leaving. Last time we got the three meat combo with some amazing smoked turkey and brisket. The sides were equally tasty and worth sampling especially the BBQ beans and collard greens. So I recommend you get off I-10 and away from the national chain restaurants and support a local down to earth and darn tasty food joint like Cousin Willie’s!
