Cinco De Mayo

We’ve been going here for over a year now. Mainly because it was decent the first few times and the drinks were heavy. But the last couple of visits the food was extremely salty. This last time we went my girlfriend got food poisoning and has been vomiting to the point where it took 7 hours to finally not have to go every 15-20 min. There is absolutely zero excuse for food poisoning. Cross contamination or older food are the most likely causes (the shells were very stale and the meat of the beef was very well done to where you wonder if it’s reheated)

They could never make me hate you, Cinco De Mayo. I used to live off Atlantic and have chased them from their old location to the one they're in now. I have had so many dates here, carryout orders, ordered Uber Eats. I could live, eat, and breathe Cinco De Mayo. I moved away 2 years ago to Michigan and would regularly dream of their food. I made an 18hr drive into town, checked into my hotel, and immediately went to Cinco De Mayo as my first stop, and made husband bring me back before we left as a lil date so I could savor the food. They will as long as they're open have a life long customer with me every time I come home to Jacksonville. I appreciate their pricing, their lovely portions, and the service is wonderful. Even during the world cup, they were attentive and the food was consistent (they were packed and extremely busy). 100/10 love you guyssss!

I’m from Texas so obvi my standards for Mexican food are high. Simply put, the food is not good. And it’s disappointing because the location is fantastic and the atmosphere is impressive. The service and the staff are the best in class! If it weren’t for actual food, I want to give this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ so badly! maybe I’m ordering the wrong thing🤷‍♀️? Let me know! I’m open!
