The vibes and workers were the just as good as the food. We met the owner and his wife and they said they’ve been here for 26 years. We’d come back just to enjoy the company anytime. Great food and great people. 10/10 experience overall.
First time here. The sandwiches & fries looked amazing but unfortunately i tried the salad trio plate. The egg salad was typical, chopped eggs, barely any mayonnaise, no seasonings. The chicken salad was pretty much huge chunks of tough chicken, light mayonnaise, chopped egg (?), bland. Got a bite with a bone shard, shows it's fresh, but still off-putting. The tuna salad was confusing. All dark tuna, which I've never seen. Barely flaked as if just dumped from a can, left in big, dry chunks. Also had fine chopped egg & barely any mayonnaise, all dry & very bland. In addition to Iceburg lettuce, the salad is topped with banana pepper rings & slivers of red onion, not really typical salad ingredients. Menu says it includes tomatoes but a sign on the counter stated tomatoes available upon request, which I requested. I guess they're rationing, because I received two of the smallest pieces of tomato ever. The staff were all friendly & service was super quick. Today's lunch was a big no. Would definitely come back to give another chance, would try a sandwich or burger next time, tho.
I give this restaurant a 100/10. The staff are extremely friendly, food is made fresh, salad dressing made in house, and it's a small local business! They have quite the assortment of items on the menu from sandwiches, soups, salads, wraps, sweet treats and more! This is our new lunch spot, and we will be telling EVERYONE at the office. Thanks so much for the great experience, see you soon!
This place had a pretty nice selection of sandwiches.. They had a lot of chicken salads...... And some of the regular stuff like onion rings and crinkle French fries... I ordered a tuna melt; it was pretty good it's not the best one I've ever had..... But I gotta say my French fries were soaking in salt..... If you order fries here you must tell them no salt!!!!! But, they were nice enough to replace my fries with new ones!!!! Thank you!!! My friend ordered a chicken wrap..... It looked pretty good.... Portions were on the large side...... Onion rings were okay...... I would definitely go back here to try something else next time....
We stumbled upon Chow Down Alley on Old St. Augustine Rd and were so pleasantly surprised. We went during peak lunch time on a Monday and were impressed with how busy they were with both take-in and take-out orders, yet the ordering process was still quick and effortless with very friendly staff. We got our food within about 10–15 minutes, and it came out super fresh and hot. Everything was made to order, which we really appreciated. We ordered the limited edition French onion sandwich and the tuna melt, and both were delicious. There’s a good amount of seating inside as well as outdoor seating, which is a nice bonus. Such a great find, and we’ll definitely be adding this spot to our list of favorite food places.
