Totally disgusting and disappointing meal. Total waste of money. Hands-down, this is the worst Chinese restaurant in this entire 40 mile radius but the problem is this the only China restaurant in the area. They are right at Longleaf Pine Parkway and 211. I went there before and I remembered it wasn’t that great and I said well I’m gonna try it again because there was no other Chinese restaurants around and I was craving Chinese. I have to say the eggroll was delicious but when I opened up the food and I ate a piece of the chicken, D5 General Tso Chicken, it tasted like sawdust. It was dry and loaded with garlic powder and I love garlic. I am Italian, but this was really disgusting garlic powder not like really good garlic flavor. I don’t know it must’ve been heated up from yesterday or maybe even the day before - some pieces were warm some pieces were hot, and some pieces were cold. Inside . The broccoli looked like it was petrified and it was not cooked and it had no taste, and I could tell they had just sprinkled some garlic powder on it. It was basically raw it was disgusting and I love broccoli . Then I looked at the fried rice and it looked kind of good. I saw a couple peas in there and I was hopeful, but again I was totally disappointed. It tasted like that stuff my mother gave me when I was a little girl. I can’t remember the name of it, maybe it was Chef Boyardee I cannot remember exactly, but it came in a box and it had no taste at all and when my mom could not afford anything else, that’s what she would give us. This rice was disgusting! It had no taste and it was mushy and starchy. It didn’t taste like anything that you would ever want to eat and pay for - maybe it’s because they charge $12.95 for a dinner special. But if they’re going to sell food, regardless of the price, it should at least be half decent not totally shitty. So I’m sure other people feel this way too but because they’re the only Chinese place in town people are wondering what the hell they’re going to do if they go out of business. So my purpose in writing this very true review is to alert China house that they can go out of business very quickly because people will just stop coming if they don’t improve their food. I have to tell you this was the most disgusting meal that I’ve ever had and it was a total waste of money and I’m sorry I didn’t get some Japanese food at the Tokyo, which has consistently wonderful food for comparable prices. But today I was in the mood for Chinese and that was my mistake. If you plan on going to this restaurant, I think you would be very careful not to have any people waiting at home for a delicious meal because you’re not gonna get it. I am sorry to leave such a dismal review of the only Chinese restaurant in the entire St. John’s area down there by Longleaf Pine, but I am so disgusted that they are just taking advantage of people by serving such horrific food.
Hands down the best Chinese food!!! I have lived in St John’s for four years moved from NY along Island and this is the best I have found since living here!! There is flavor it doesn’t taste bland. I had the chicken with broccoli!!! I can’t wait to try more!! And they even gave me two cans of soda that I didn’t even order!! Definitely will be going back again!!! Awesome!! Large portion for a lunch special also!!!
First time and better than most Chinese take outs in the area. Egg rolls, S&S sauce very good. Egg drop add shrimp had only 2 shrimp in it but it was tasty. Really good and will try again.
EVERTYHING was delicious! I ordered donuts, plain lo mein, Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, egg rolls, wonton soup. I was starving so I didn’t get a “Before” photo. Sesame Chicken was really tasty too. Donuts were perfect temperature after driving 15mins. All food tasted fresh and yummy!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We ordered here a few times already, and the food is always great. Their chinese food selection are ok but our favorite here will be their thai food. Their thai fried rice is on point! The panang and pad thai is really good too.
