Chappell Schools - San Marco

Unfortunately, my overall experience with this daycare was disappointing. My son attended from about seven weeks old until nearly one year, and during that time, I found a significant disconnect between what was promised online and what was actually practiced. As he grew older, I became increasingly concerned about the lack of meaningful engagement, structured activities, and early learning opportunities. Story time occurred infrequently, and most staff did not regularly interact with the children in a stimulating or engaging way. I had expected a focus on Montessori-inspired activities, story time, sensory play, and foundational concepts like letters, numbers, and blocks—but those expectations were not met. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will receive quality attention, active engagement, and support from an enthusiastic and involved staff, this may not be the right fit. I ultimately chose to withdraw my son and go with a different educational environment to ensure he receives the one-on-one attention and developmental support needed to prepare for future educational success. Some of the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which was appreciated. However, others appeared disengaged and showed little enthusiasm, especially around the children, rarely even offering a smile. I understand there was a change in ownership or management last year, and it seems that many of these issues may stem from the overall culture and work environment, which often reflect leadership at the top.

We’ve had our son here since he was 10 weeks old, he’s now 2.5. He loves going to “school” every day and the entire staff knows him by name or the nickname they gave him. They’ve helped him learn so much every day.

Very unorganized management, disrespectful, and not welcoming at all. It’s honestly concerning to see people in charge of children respond to others in such a disrespectful and unprofessional way. I really question how they can be responsible for kids when they treat people so poorly.

Staff should probably remember even when your not at your place of employment you represent the company while in uniform. Very unprofessional, with a rude demanor clearly in the wrong place of employment.
