Casa Dora Italian Cusine & Pizzeria

Casa Dora’s is hands down the best spot in Jacksonville for authentic New York-style Italian food. I’ve only been a few times, but everything has been excellent. The wine is fantastic, and the food tastes like the real deal. I’ve had the stromboli, pecorino cheese, homemade marinara, and pizza by the slice, and it all reminded me of Little Italy-style Italian food. If you’re missing New York Italian food in Jacksonville, this is where you need to go. Highly recommend.

I want to begin with, I wish I knew this place was here sooner. The outside of the restaurant has convenient public parking that I wish we used. Walked inside and was immediately greeted as if family. Was able to sit anywhere since it was 1230 and not busy. Inside has many amazing pictures with televisions available to view while waiting for your food. It’s so nice and quiet if that’s your thing. But definitely a place where noisy kids would be welcomed. We ordered two Italian Hoagie sandwiches that we figured were going to be good but instead absolutely amazing. Everything from the toppings to the fresh baked bread was freshly made and cut for the sandwich. I’ve been to other large chains but just getting an Italian Hoagie from here beat Firehouse subs, Jimmy John’s, Which Which, and Subway. They are good. Subway is just okay. This is better than all. Can’t wait to bring my kids and continue exploring this menu. Thank you so much and like I said . We are coming back.

This little restaurant was so uniquely decorated with autographed pictures from so many famous people who just LOVE PAPA G! It was cozy and such a friendly environment. I wasn't sure what to order but Papa G explained all of his food like the true Chef he is and assured us everything was delicious 😋 and oh my goodness it was amazing. Don't let the "hole in the wall outdoor vibe stop you from going inside, you will miss one of the best meals in your life!!! Truth!
