  As soon as we decided to relocate from Maryland to Florida for a job change, a colleague was asked for recommendations for a realtor in the Jacksonville, FL area. My colleague recommended Carol Zingone of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices based on his prior experience with her several years back with a very similar relocation from Maryland. We made initial introductions via email, phone, and video conference. Carol captured what we were looking for in purchasing a home and the search was on! She thoroughly explained the various areas surrounding NAS JAX, of which I would be commuting to for work. She also provided pertinent information to consider regarding what a commute from different areas would entail. We researched several homes for sale in the surrounding areas and compiled a list that interested us. We scheduled a flight to FL over a 3-day weekend to visit properties of interest. Prior to our whirlwind visit, Carol was instrumental in visiting each of the properties and provided us with timely video walk-throughs of each home! This was extremely helpful in determining which properties we opted to see during our short trip to Jacksonville. On the last day of our trip to FL, we wrote an offer on a home in the Pace Island Community of Fleming Island. Upon return to MD, and much to our dismay, we learned that the seller decided NOT to sell the home after 4 months of being on the market. We were thoroughly disappointed! We then submitted an offer on one of the other properties that we visited in the same community. The offer was accepted by the seller. Carol coordinated the home inspection within the next few days and was present in the home during the entire inspection process. We received the inspection report the very next day but decided there were far too many issues with this older home, and opted to not move forward with the purchase. Another disappointment! Our timeframe to purchase a home prior to our scheduled move was quickly growing shorter! We started looking at contingency plans for rental properties in order to have a temporary place to reside. At the same time, we continued to peruse homes a little further out than in our original search. There were two listings in the Cross Creek North community of Green Cove Springs that piqued our interest. Carol arranged and provided video walk-throughs of these two homes and the surrounding areas. Based on these videos and Carol’s feedback, an existing business trip to Ohio was rerouted through Jacksonville in order to visit these two properties! Carol even offered curbside pick-up at the airport to eliminate the need for a rental car and had scheduled showings just a few hours after arrival in Jacksonville! We ultimately decided to move forward with one of the homes and submitted an offer without delay! Our offer was accepted, and Carol once again coordinated and was on-site for the home inspection! She handled and coordinated all required details… all while working with us remotely from MD! We believe that having Carol as our realtor and point-of-contact during this major life change was instrumental for us to find our dream home, especially given our very short timeline. We could not have done this without Carol’s guidance and expertise! She was always very professional, courteous, responsive, and accommodating during this very stressful time of our lives! Her many trips to the surrounding areas of NAS JAX provided the imperative information that we needed for us to successfully relocate to Green Cove Springs, FL! We love our new home and Carol quickly became our first friend in Florida! With much gratitude- Leroy and Jodi
