CA Nails & Spa Fernandina Beach

Everybody picks their favorite around the town and this one is mine. I have been coming to this place for a long time and it has never disappointed me. If I make an appointment or if I just walk in, I feel welcome. The quality and care for their work is excellent no matter who attends to your needs and I always walk out feeling and looking great. Add to this absolutely reasonable prices and the repeated satisfaction is always 10 out of 10.

I had one of the worst pedicures I’ve ever had here. My nails were cut so short I have next to no toenail on most of my toes. And afterwards there was basically no shaping done at all, and the edges were left jagged and uneven. They only applied one coat of gel polish, so you can literally see through to the toenail underneath. On top of that, the polish application itself was sloppy and uneven. For almost $60, this was a complete waste of money and time. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was very friendly, but friendliness alone isn’t enough to make up for the poor quality of the service. I definitely won’t be coming back.

I got a gel manicure on Sunday. These pictures were taken Thursday. Over the course of those 4 days, every single nail had the gel polish peel up and start chipping off. Gel is supposed to last way longer than 4 days. I called the salon and asked for a refund because I am not from the area and couldn’t go back to get it fixed. Despite me explaining I’m not even in the state of Florida, they still insisted I try to travel down for them to fix it and wouldn’t refund me. One woman on the phone even questioned me on why I was in their area to get my nails done. It’s none of her business, but I explained I was there to visit my mother in law. The man I spoke to said “Well most peoples nails stay,” which seemed to take blame off the person who did my nails and put it on me. I did no extra work with my hands, so there was no reason for the polish to peel off the way it is. Also, the new owner is the person who did my nails.

Love CA Nails!! They are so kind, fast & efficient!! I’m always in and out in a timely manner with amazing nails!! After going to another local nail salon that took WAY too long, I was VERY happy to discover CA nails!!
