Truly authentic German food and drink with a twist….. with an entrance that reminds of a speakeasy. No secret password required though LOL. Great selections of foods. Some might complain of the prices being a little high but if you want cheaper American food or bar food etc then go elsewhere. If you want authentic German cuisine, polite and professional service, with a large stein of Bier to wash it down then this is the place. DJ music Saturday nights at 9pm if you want a late pretzel and a dark beer. Many not seem like a lot, but there are 3 separate large dining/drinking areas. Chase was the establishment - Verein gegen betrügerisches Einschenken - (Germany's unofficial "beer police") !!!! Other patrons were friendly and talkative and everyone seemed to enjoy the drinking and eating experience. It was quiet enough to easily have conversations with your guests and others. Highly recommend you try this place and see for yourself. Oh and yes I had to have the Schwarzbier (namesake 🤪😂🤪)
We had an amazing dinner here! Everything is very authentic. Pics are bratwurst, he had a white sausage (lamb and pork). German potatoes, kraut and a pretzel were sides. We did wait a little for everything, but I figured it's an atmosphere kind of place, so we just enjoyed ourselves while we waited. We sat inside while we dined, but walked outside to the beirgarten while we waited for chocolate cake to go (not pictured) Definitely will be back! Came back for a wonderful community meeting and they accommodated us with a charcuterie board and pretzels. There is a back room beyond the patio that I didn't know about. There's some history behind it, I saw tours being given. The room is a sight to behold. Just another reason to seek out this gem 💯
My friend and I had a fabulous experience at Buchner’s Bierhalle this weekend. The food was amazing! It was very flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the tables outside in the back were shaded with a very comfortable environment. All the staff were very helpful and friendly with knowledge of all the different foods and beers. Our waitress Valerie was very nice. We would definitely recommend it!
Buchner’s is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is absolutely fantastic and truly captures the heart and flavor of authentic German cuisine. The attention to detail is impressive—from the charming stories on the menu to the warm, European pub atmosphere. Valerie and Chase took such wonderful care of us and made us feel more like old friends than customers. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere makes it the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy incredible food, and genuinely feel at home. I always look forward to coming back! I lose track of time every visit but never felt rushed. It’s not just food and drink it’s an experience.
Stopped by for the last night of the Christmas Market. While the wait was not bad, I recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere was cozy! We loved the biergarten with the handicraft vendors and food. The mulled wine was AMAZING!!! Hands down on the sauerkraut! The best I have had since my Great Grandma’s! I cannot wait to bring my parents in July, they will love it!
