We went in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the cute and very clean atmosphere. They were playing good music, had a lovely large bar and lots of pool tables and seating. We opted to sit at the bar. Our server Gabriel was very welcoming, even asked our names and provided excellent service. We had a whiskey stone sour and Guinness and the fried deviled eggs to start. The drinks were balanced, well made and cold. The fried deviled eggs came with a buffalo, ship wreck or balsamic. Gabriel knowing we had not tried them before offered to let us do 2 of each flavor. The buffalo was our favorite. We also shared the Ruben which was sooo good. It had a nice sauce they make there with very good corned beef and Kraft and cheese on thick cut rye and came with fries. We like Rubens so we have had many in Jax. This was one of the best if not the best we have had. I wholeheartedly recommend checking them out and ask for Gabriel
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bru and Barrel deserves every one of these five stars. An exceptional experience, and I want to give special credit to our server, Elizabeth. Great customer service means something to me, and she deserves to be recognized for the way she takes care of her guests. As a business owner myself, I appreciate people who put care into what they do. It makes a difference when you feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated as a customer. Elizabeth brought that personal touch to the experience, and she is a big part of why I’m taking the time to leave this review. To the management at Bru and Barrel: you have someone worth recognizing in Elizabeth. People remember how they were treated, and service like hers gives them a reason to come back. Thank you, Elizabeth, for making our visit memorable. Looking forward to returning!
We’ve been in twice now, once just for drinks and recently to grab a bite. The food was good and came out pretty fast but the service was wonderful! Our server had a great personality, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Great place if you want a quick lunch or bar apps. The beer was also cold! Plenty of TV’s to watch the games and pool tables available for entertainment.
Food and service were great! My husband got the chop steak with green beans and I got the chicken without basil with green beans and seasonal veggies. Atmosphere was perfect for conversation. They do have pool tables and darts too. We will definitely be back!
Went there a little after 5 with my wife and 4 year old twins. Food was awesome. Best wings I have had in Jacksonville. Server (Rachael I think) was great and knowledgeable.
