I love my therapist office. The receptionists are always friendly and know ur name and face. If u have any issues with payment they are very understanding and accommodating. I've been seeing my therapist Jeanna for 7 years and she is a absolutely wonderful. She has helped find myself and my voice. I wanted and prayed for a holistic therapist. She introduced me to meditation and it helped alot amongst over techniques. If u want a therapist office that makes u feel welcomed and warm, this is the place to go

If you are reading this review because you are thinking of potentially exploring the idea of professional assistance for addiction or mental health related struggles, I can't possibly recommend Breakthroughs more highly as your first call. A few years ago, I realized that the drinking habit that started harmlessly enough as a coping mechanism for heavy professional and personal stress had somehow boiling-frogged into a full blown chemical dependency that I couldn't outsmart, and that was putting me in the midst of medical emergencies on the regular. I reached out and did business with several competitors before finding Breakthroughs, and what I found was that most places in Jacksonville are great at telling you what they think you want to hear to get you in the door before ultimately proving themselves by their actions to not really care, to not have a well structured program in place, and to have sloppy operations all of which are the last thing someone needs in the middle of a life and death struggle with addiction. When I started with Breakthroughs, my skepticism was at it's highest and my addiction was at its worst, and what I found was that they had such an incredibly caring team and ownership that wasn't just an act, a great practical program that I enjoyed going to, and everything ran so smoothly that I could just focus on my growth. I'm now four years sober, but the real value has been working with the team to get my underlying mental health in such a great spot that I have largely outgrown the need to self medicate. Clinical Director Jackie Ivey is one of the best professionals I have ever worked with in any capacity. She's brilliant, empathetic, caring and always willing to meet me where I am and our partnership has made my life better in virtually every way. The owners Nick and Erin are exactly the type of people you would hope would be running a counseling and recovery center you or are a loved one are partnering with, and I've met countless alumni of their programs who are not just hanging on in sobriety but thriving like I am as a result of everything they do at Breakthroughs and sister company Sophros Recovery.
