I don’t know how anyone could come here and not give FIVE stars! The food is so on point and the service is top notch. Highly recommend the Khao Soi Curry noodle soup. Incredible depth of flavor. The Thai potstickers are our favorite appetizer. The Boux Puffs don’t disappoint either. They have the best Panang curry you’ll find in Jax. We got the Panang duck, which was very well done. We’ve been here twice and both times were amazing!
We used to really enjoy this restaurant, but after not visiting for about two years, this experience was absolutely horrendous. I’m not sure if the restaurant is under new management, but the decline in food quality and customer service was shocking. We ordered spring rolls, chicken Pad Thai, shrimp Pad Thai, and vegetable fried rice. The vegetable fried rice was the only item we didn’t have a direct complaint about. The chicken Pad Thai literally had NO chicken in it. The shrimp in the shrimp Pad Thai smelled strongly of spoiled seafood and appeared undercooked. The spring rolls were undercooked, and the Pad Thai was essentially liquid peanut butter. The peanut flavor was overwhelmingly overpowering, the noodles were overcooked, and the dish lacked any of the traditional Pad Thai flavors we expected. We called the restaurant to discuss a potential refund and were told we would have to drive the food back. When we spoke directly with the owner, they refused to refund us for the two Pad Thai dishes and spring rolls. The conversation then escalated into the owner screaming to the point of becoming incoherent, ultimately telling us, “Do what you have to do.” The food quality was bad enough, but the owner's response was even more disappointing. There was no meaningful acknowledgment of our concerns or apparent concern about the condition of the seafood or the undercooked spring rolls. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner became hostile toward customers who were simply trying to address a genuinely unacceptable experience. Restaurants can have an off day, but the way management responds to customer feedback matters. Between the poor food quality, potential food safety concerns, and completely unacceptable customer service, this was a huge disappointment, especially considering how much we used to enjoy this restaurant. We will not be returning and cannot recommend it based on this experience.
One of the finest Thai cuisine place that me and my wife has visited recently to be honest. As soon as I walked in the service team greeted us and asked us to sit we’re ever we liked. The ambiance and the atmosphere is very well decorated and welcoming you can see the decorations and the interiors are very well done. I must say our server was very very kind and I really appreciate all the help and suggestions that she gave to me and my wife to make our meals so enjoyable and tasty. She is very kind and lovely and has a great personality. Her name is YINGLUK. I highly recommend her and I ask people to ask for her if they ever visit this amazing restaurant. For appetiser we had their spring rolls. It was perfectly cooked and their sweetie chilli sauce and dip was just amazing. For our entree I had a glass door noodles with veggies which came along with jasmine rice which was perfectly cooked and it was amazing and tasted incredible. My wife had sukiyaki with veggies and glassdoor noodles it was soupy and delicious she enjoyed every bite. Overall it was a great and memorable dinner experience for both of us and we would definitely go back there again. If you’re in Jacksonville and you like Thai cuisine. This place is a MUST !!!!
I have been eating here for years and this is by far my favorite Thai food in mandarin! The staff is always super friendly and the food is amazing. I love the Tom Yum soup as well as the spicy basil fried rice and curries.
What a hidden gem I discovered last night! I have been on the hunt to find a delicious Panang Curry in the area, and Bounxou delivered!! Not only was the Panang on point, but we tried the Thai Spaghetti too, and it was a pallet pleaser! The portion size of each dish is generous, definitely share size, or even better- leftovers for the next day! The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the service is very friendly! I'm definitely going back and giving this establishment my business!
