Bono's on Lane Avenue is a consistently amazing restaurant. The food is always delicious, and the decor gives it a great local feel. The staff provides excellent service, though the tables can occasionally be a bit untidy during the peak lunch or dinner rush. Overall, it is a fantastic spot for quality BBQ.
Went to dinner with my husband after a long day working on my food truck and wanted a salad, My husband’s salad looked great but unfortunately mines was horrible, My salad was brown , egg was soggy . Salad just throwed together to make a quick buck. My waitress was nice and apologetic but the cooks should definitely be ashamed of themselves.
Ordered a side salad was good! Seems like their ranch recipe has changed. Got the 2 half order appetizer squash and okra, good.... Ordered 3 meat platter....just small portions for $19.99 and my Brunswick stew was cold so I had to send it back to the kitchen. The server was new...had to ask for a refill multiple times and also had to ask for a extra plate even though there was clearly 2 guests at my table.
Ruby was our server and she did an amazing job of making us feel welcome and she was honest on the question we had about the lettuce 😀 she wasn't sure so no salad for me . My husband had the large 2 meat platter turkey and ribs. He said it was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and it was great. The restaurant looked clean including the floors. I felt comfortable dining in for a change.
Ok, gonna be honest. The pork was excellent. The sides were great. Loved them all. Nice quality and large sizes. But the brisket was horrible. It was really tough. There wasn’t much of a bark on it like you get from the Texas joints. I don’t think it had cooked long enough to let the fat break down or let the crispy bark form. So outside of the brisket I had, I’ll still give it 5 stars because everything else was good and the service was great.
