I was pleasantly surprised when arriving at Bono’s. They are not your average BBq. The food is excellent and environment inside is great. The pictures on the wall tell the story. The server was very kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed the 1/2 lb burger and fries are fantastic! The pulled pork smothered with Cole slaw is amazing. The meat is juicy and tender. The slaw is chunky and seasoned just right. All of the sauces are very rich and creamy. Sweet to Hot all are vinegar based and are not runny. They stand up on your food and don’t run off. Sign of a great sauce. And you have to try the fried okra Awesome! Be sure and go hungry and be prepared to take leftovers home. Enjoy 😉
Sad to say this place could have a lot more potential. I've heard at lunch this place is good, but don't come here late at night. Your brisket and pulled pork will be dead cold. Also, who the hell approved of this burnt bun? Stacey was great, put the poor lady was being overworked, and it was just her. I didn't give her any lip but your cooks need to be fired.
Never received good service but the food was decent albeit type expensive, last night was the final straw. Firstly, I don’t want any lip service about sauce if I’m spending $30 for a meal. Secondly we got all the way home and the order was missing one of the “Three Meats”. The woman was so concerned with refusing to be courteous she could not even give us the correct order. Long story short it seems that my kind is unwelcome at Bono’s I recommend Sonny’s.
Was working in the area, seen, they had a drive through Give it a shot. Food was amazing. 2 girls at the drive through both times I went were super friendly, greeted you with a smile. Food came out fast and good
Bono’s at the Jacksonville Town Center continues to impress, and this visit was no exception. Candy and Natalie were absolutely phenomenal—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure everything was perfect. Their professionalism and friendliness set the tone the moment I walked in. The entire staff deserves recognition. From the kitchen to the front counter, everyone worked together seamlessly to deliver fresh, delicious food and exceptional customer service. You can feel the pride they take in their work, and it shows in every detail.
